The Great Light Is Here

Well we're back with you again today to talk to you about the wonderful Word of God.

Reading today from the book of Hebrews chapter one beginning at the first verse.

[Hebrews 1:1-14: "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?"]

Notice the third verse here it says, Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person and upholding all things by the word of His power when He had by Himself purged our sins, set down on the right hand of the majesty on high. You know it's a wonderful thought when you think about someone who is the express image of godliness. You know, God having been hid from the view of mankind or being closed off from the eyes of human view all down through the years it's a wonderful thought to know that at last there came forth something that could express God. To think all down through the many years God had never been seen. God had never been comprehended. Now I know, you know there is a great dispute in the world today, some say that others has seen God, and they say that in time past men have seen God, but see, that does not agree with the Scripture. The Bible says, That no man has seen God at any time. Which means that Abraham, Moses, all the great patriarchs of old they never saw God, and then the Bible says not only have they not seen God, but the Bible says, He is the great light unto which no man can approach, whom no man hath seen nor can see. Therefore God the Eternal Spirit, the Invisible One, the great heavenly Father, the invisible immortal God that Paul refers to. This God can only be seen through the image of His Son, Jesus Christ. Therefore being the great light the Bible tells us that God, the Eternal Spirit, has expressed Himself to us through the image of His beloved Son, Jesus. And that Jesus is the brightness of His coming. The very expression of His glory and of His greatness, and the Bible said that He upholdeth all things by the Word of God's power and the Father's authority in that when Jesus was in the world all He ever did was express the greatness of God. He always spoke of the Word of the Father. He never did His own will. He never leaned to His own understanding. All He ever spoke was what the Father said. All He ever did was what the Father desired. So then around the world today as I speak to you think upon that. Think upon the wonderful Words of God. Think upon this great Jesus that is the express image of the greatness of the Father. The only expression that has ever been given of God. The invisible, immortal God at last expresses Himself. You know in the Old Testament Moses and all the others was told that they were not to worship different things. God expressed Himself through many means. He expressed Himself through birds. He expressed Himself through trees. He expressed Himself through the burning bush to Moses. But all of these things this was not God's image. This was a way for God to express Himself in the sense of communication, but when it came to God expressing himself in His glory and in the brightness of His wonderfulness, it had to be Jesus. Because Jesus is the image that we must worship. Jesus is the one that we must look to. It is Jesus that we are looking to and He is the One that we are expecting to come to save us. We're expecting of Jesus that He should give us salvation. That he should heal our bodies. That He should supply our needs. It is Jesus. We're taught to look to Jesus for everything. You know I emphasize the name Jesus over and over in our radio broadcast and in our ministry wherever we are at. The reason I do that is because we must believe on Jesus. You know there might be miracles, there might be lots of things that would take the place in your area in your life, you might see a lot of things but that doesn't mean that you've got salvation. That doesn't mean that you've received faith. It takes Jesus to bring you salvation. It takes faith in God for you to escape the calamities of life. You've got to believe on the Son of God. You've got to believe on Jesus. So then, I emphasize the name Jesus and I talk about Jesus because I want you to be acquainted with Jesus. If during our little communication we talk about Jesus and we make mention of the Son of God over and over then you are going to get Jesus on your mind. I want Jesus on your mind in the morning at noon, I want Jesus on your mind over in the evening time. I want you to think about Jesus because that is life, that is hope, that is salvation. The more you meditate in Jesus in the Word of God, in His name, upon His great person, Him being the brightness and the expressed glory of God, Him being the revealed, invisible God, and the only means of seeing God I want you to think about Jesus. If you want to get to the great Holy Spirit, if you want to come to God, the Father, then come through Jesus. The Bible said, That He is the brightness and the expression of this great invisible Father. You know we need fellowship with the Father. The reason is that the Father is the only source of life. There is no other source of life except the Father. He alone is the fountain of life. He is the great Spirit of life, and if you do not have fellowship with God, the great Spirit, then you do not have life. You get the breath of life from the Father. He breathed into your nostrils. You became a living soul through the expression of His life. Therefore to continue this great life we must come to Jesus. we must nurse from the breast of El Shaddai, and we must receive the milk of the Word as babes that we might grow thereby, and exercising our senses in God we grow strong. The more we study the wonderful Word of God, the more we think about God, the more we come to God, that is through Jesus, then the bigger and greater we become, and we become as the Bible refers to it as the strong, they who have by reasoning exercised their senses to be able to discern between the good and the evil. These receiving the meat of the Word because of the strength that God has given to them through their exercising of the senses. You know, a lot of people they don't take up enough time with the Word of God. Many people don't even believe the Word of God. In many parts of the world the Word of God is not even dear to them, because they have their own Bible. They have their own means of communication. They have what they believe to be the Word of God and they study it and they read it. You know I've taken books from the different parts of the world and what is suppose to be their religious books and their guide books, their guide to salvation, and I've read them, and I've studied some of them and I've looked at them and I've made comparison with the Word of God, and know I don't say this just because I believe in the Word of God because I've made comparison very carefully to see if there is a mistake. To see if maybe I was wrong and the others was right, and beloved friend this is the truth from the bottom of my heart not being critical at all but being truthful in studying from their books the ones that they depend on it does not prove out at all. But the wonderful Bible historically speaking proves out. Miraculously speaking it proves out. Revelationally speaking it proves out and every detail it proves to be the infallible Word of a true and living God somewhere and it is accurate. It is true historically. It is true spiritually. It is true as to it's promises and everything that it has ever promised I have put to the test in the sense of many of these things and I have seen them come to pass. exactly. I have took the other books and thought upon them and they do not make sense. You can not even put them together to where they really make sense concerning the things historically or the things spiritually, or the promises. There's nothing that really holds true. It is true that in these books you run across things that have reference to certain things that relate to the Bible and this of course is true, but as a whole these things are not right. But the Bible is true because it is the Word. The Word even Jesus Christ made flesh that great one.
