You know, let's turn over to the book of Revelation to the first chapter. Ah most of you know what this says because we've brought to your mind a number of times. And ah, it says the revelation of Jesus Christ I want to think on that a few minutes this morning. I come to it every once in a while to remind you there is such a thing. For as the Bible tells us that we should pray that God would grant unto us the spirit of revelation. And I tell you again it's as one would suppose as to say well Brother Pike I believe that the spirit of revelation and what the Lord is saying is that He means you that are out in the world pray that God will save you that will be the spirit of revelation. But as I have asked before if that is the answer to that then how is it that the Bible said we know that God heareth not a sinners prayer. Ah, and then of course the thing arises you know as to contest that by saying well how do you get saved. How do we then get saved. Well as I said before we are saved by foreknowledge, we are elect according to foreknowledge. The Bible said it shall come to pass I will answer before you call. And ah, that is the Bible teaches that this is given to us in Christ before the world ever was and brought to light at calvary as to the rent veil. They will be chosen as the elect of God in the foreknowledge of God in that God saw what we would and would not do and it fulfills the scripture where it says Jacob and Esau, Jacob have I loved and Esau have I hated, the children not yet being born, having no good or, having done no good nor evil that it might stand by election of Him that calleth, not of you that calleth. So then it is said that it shall come to pass that whosoever calleth upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. And someone would say well there's your answer, you pray to God. No it didn't say anything about praying to God, it said just call on the name of the Lord and you would be saved. And ah, besides that you don't, you don't get salvation by just calling on the name of the Lord. If you do get salvation by calling on the name of the Lord it's pretty much evident that everybody going to be saved because at one time or another ah, they call on the name of the Lord if they don't do nothing but butt there head on something, or get hurt, and they say oh my God. Or ah, you know they use His name in a lot of ways, or as to the name Jesus, they use the name Jesus. Whereas the Bible said not to take His name in vein and there is such a thing as calling on the name of the Lord and it is in vein that you call on him because there's no answer. And you use it in a, ah just kind of a passing thought, or in a foolish statement or whatever. But using the name of the Lord in vein actually means that though you be ever so religious and you join all kind of churches and do whatever and you calling on the name of the Lord regular, you're not living for God, you're not making any effort toward God therefore your calling on the name of the Lord in vein. Because He isn't going to answer you and it isn't going to profit you anything at all, it just becomes a by word with you. But this is a straight, narrow, strict way to go. As a matter of fact I, I was telling my little wife recently; we was talking about the Lord and I, I said Betty you know when I read in the Bible I, said, I read things that Jesus said and I'm literally astounded. I said I, I'm shocked at it. I said because the way He talks ah, the way He talked to the pharisees and others it sounds like ain't nobody going to make it into the Glory world except Him. And ah, I was talking to Him and ah, I thought you know that sounds like ain't nobody at all going to make it this is so strict, He brought it so strict to the pharisees. Maybe you've never noticed it, but I notice things real close and I thought well sure it just looks that ain't nobody going to make it but Christ Jesus. And then something began to speak to me and it said that's right nobody but Him. Ah, as I told you eight and then four and then it narrowed down to two and it narrowed down to one, only Him. And I heard something say He alone dwells in that light, and He alone is err to the glory and unless you become bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh then your not Him and you wont be in that light or the glory of that understanding that Adam was made in the image of in the beginning, which image was taken away because of iniquity. And ah, said if you are bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh whatever the measure is you still belong to God and you will be there in that light as to that understanding, the salvation that God will show you. You will be there in that light and ah, you will dwell in that light, for we are they that dwell in heaven the Bible teaches. So it's a straight, narrow way. Someone would say well Brother Pike you mean that I've just got to buckle down and live straight, and narrow. How narrow is the way? Straight is the gate like a straight jacket, it's a tight fit. Straight is the way or straight is the gate and narrow is the way. Ah, like the camel through the eye of the needle, there's a place in Jerusalem they call the eye of the needle and the camel can't pass through that eye of the needle unless he unloads as to the laden of his burden and all that he's carrying and then he can pass through it. You don't carry anything in, you came into the world without anything and through you may accumulate a lot it is for sure that you want take anything out. So then you've got to get rid of all of those things that's unlike the Lord Jesus. So then how straight is it? The Bible said to the casting down of imagination and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity to the obedience of Jesus Christ every thought. So it's getting rid of your mind because it's infiltrated from the fall and taken on the mind of Jesus and your suppose to as to the conception of that seed transformate in mind until Christ be formed within you. Or you are to transformate in mind until you come to the ultimatum of the mind of Jesus Christ and then it will be made manifest in your mortal genes as to the change of that life, the heavenly treasure from heaven that's in the earthen vessel. So then when you say the change, or when you spake of the transformating it means that you're ever dying outwardly, and you're ever living to the greater inwardly, though the outer man perish yet the inner man is renewed day by day. So it's an outer man of self daniel because the sentence of death is in the natural man. So it's a straight gate, it's a narrow way. And one would say well then that means that I've really got to work hard, sacrifice, and I've got to really get down to business if I'm going into the kingdom of God, or I'm going to receive salvation. No, No you have to order your conversation right if you want God to show you the salvation, you have got to offer praise if you want to glorify God. Enter into the gates with thanksgiving into His courts with praise, know how to behave yourself in the house of the living God which is the ground and pillar of the truth. But that's not the way it is as to working your way in. Someone said, well then what are you talking about. I'm just simply saying that when you receive the spirit of Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever then you will act like Christ because that spirit and that life will make you a christian or Christ like, and it will ever be Him and not you and your ever surrendering and dying. Because that's what faith is, is a form of surrender. If I talk to you and tell you something and you say yea and amen, yea and amen, yea and amen then that means that you are yielding up your position in the matter, or yielding up your mind and you are accepting my mind. So I'm transformating your mind to my mind, and that's what the great Holy Spirit does, He testifies of Jesus, said, when He comes He'll testify of Me because it's the spirit of Jesus. And that spirit leaving that body has come to you that it might take over your body and if you allow it through the submission as the transformating of mind as to the surrender of the creature then He preserves it eternally and forever. You know it's like an embalmer, he takes you and you're going to die I mean you're going to corruption, you're dead, and ah he injects in you something that preserves your physical being that it want see corruption. And even though we look at the funeral home, and we look at the embalmer as a terrible terrible thing but it is a beautiful thing in revelation because the blood of corruption is drawn out. When he cuts the jugaler vein, that sounds so horrible, he goes in there and he pulls all of the blood out. It changes your appearance. You are leaving that. As the Bible speaks of that though your sins be as crimson I shall make you as white as snow, or as white as the wool. So He is taking the blood out and you're going through the change, like the change of life or whatever. You're going through the change and when you go through the change it's like calvary. See the blood is coming out. The blood as to the sins of Adam and death and corruption is being poured out of you, and then the injection of a preservation will go in there that you can take up the bodies up after many many years and it's, everything is still in tact. And so then it goes in there to preserve it. When it goes in there to the preserving the blood is come out and you're no longer crimson, your no longer as to the See all of your color is from your blood because within you you have a compound, a little something that has an affinity for oxygen. And when this compound ah, begins to attract the oxygen through your lungs, once you begin to pick it up it turns everything red. See and that's where it comes from. When it passes through your body and the metabolism of your body, and ah picks up the ashes as going on to the fluids it goes back as like through the vessels, or around through the veins or whatever, and when it gets back to that point it's blue. You've heard of a blue baby where you have to pull the blood out and put more in, it's because the oxygen isn't in there, it can't breath and life consist of breath of oxygen. So then when it gets back around it's blue, it's going back to the heart because there's two compartments of the heart, it goes back into the lung once again to pick up more of the breath of life. You've heard us speak of this in that when you look at the situation naturally, physically, spiritually, everything is a similarity, everything coincides, everything runs in adjacent. See and with this that is what we call human chemistry or that that we speak of as human physics. We know then that this life that we have is in our nostrils. God breathed the breath of life into mans nostrils and he became a living soul. So we know for sure that it's in his nostrils. I said a lot of times you know you take, stop your nostrils up, stop your mouth up and in a few minutes you want be anymore if your able to keep it stopped up. And ah, so then there's only life in your nostrils. And when the Bible speaks of it it says man who's life is in his nostrils, that's all there is for God breathed the breath of life into mans nostrils and he became a living soul. And the living soul or part of it has to do with the blood, it has to do with the heart. See and the life is in the blood or in the soul. Whereas scientist uses the terms that the blood is the life of the body and the Bible uses that term. But in the depths of this statement it goes on to say the life is really in the blood and the life in the blood is the spirit or the quickening, or what we refer to in the natural term as a definition the energy. So then the life is in the blood. Someone would say well Brother Pike I believe that the blood is the life of the body because that's what scientist say, you don't hear them say the life is in the blood as a rule. And so we would say, well scientifically wise knowledge falsely so called not being able to really understand, that the life of the body then is the blood. But if the life of the body is the blood why is it that when a man dies he's still got his blood in him. If it would be so why doesn't he continue to breath, why doesn't he continue in life in that he still has the blood. The blood is still there until the embalmer takes it out unless it's a death by bleeding to death as we say. Someone would say well loosing the blood proves that the blood is the life of the body. We say yea and nay, it does to the extent that the blood is a carrier of the life and without the blood then there's nothing to carry the life, but at the same time the carrier can remain and life can depart from you. So then what is the life of the body. It's very evident that the Bible gives it the life is in the blood an the Bible teaches that the body without the spirit is dead so it isn't the loss of the blood it's the loss of the spirit which is the quickening. And within you and I the quickening as to a natural definition, because there is a natural, there is a physical, there is a spiritual definition of things, a first power, a second power, a third power. As a matter of fact yesterday we went into quite a bit of this because we ministered I believe they said six hours continually. The Lord was talking ah, in a continuity and ah, of course as to the expressions it went on for six hours in a continual thing which man just don't ordinarily do in conversation. Man just don't do that, you know he don't just sit down and start talking and continually talk without hardly a break for six solid hours. And he usually stops about six hours within the radius of six hours um, if you don't understand what I'm saying let someone get on the telephone and they start a conversation you know and you listen at it and listen at it and listen at it and finally you set there and you have a pro and cohn and you talk a little and he talks a lot, and you talk a little and he talks a lot and six hours goes by. But I'm speaking of a continual, continual, continual. And usually if a fellow does that as to talking that long there has to be something in him on the other end as to beer, whisky or something. You know the Bible speaks of wine bibbers, he doesn't know what he's talking about he's just bibbing along as we say. But anyway I said all of that to say this that yesterday was about six solid hours and usually about six hours it stops because the number six has to do with man. And whatever you do, you've probably never noticed it but I notice those kind of things and I notice whatever you do it will usually run around to the number six, almost everything you do in your finance, in your daily strive, whatever it will be. And ah, and God has made all things to function after the order of His own will or His desire that everything might fall in line for what He's doing. You get into the world of spirit and into the world of revelation and you know this. But yesterday there was some hungry hearts so we talked and ah, we went into a little bit of the first, second, and third power because it's real easy to go into it once the spirit starts talking. But for you to be able to do that it takes time, and ah when you take this time it takes people with patience and people with patience are people who are hungry and thirsting after the things of God. It's like drinking you know you want to drink beer you want to party so you've got that in your heart, you've got the love of the world in your heart, you like to watch television so you got plenty of patience and and and it's just filling you up it's satisfying your desire to eat, to drink, to ride. Some would rather just eat drink and ride you know, from the cafe over to the milk shake and from the milk shake on over to a a whatever you know. They got some nibblet after that and they carry a little pack of candy around with them. But then there's others that there not so much given to eaten they'd rather watch ball games and watch things as sports and whatever, and then another there all together different from that they've got something else going ah, whether it's golfing or whatever they can just give hours to it. Then there are those that of a rare kind whereas Jesus said few there be that find it, few there be that find it. There are those that are heavenly children which are God's and they are dwelling in a heavenly world and there conversation is in heaven and all they want to do is order there conversation right to talk about Jesus, to talk about Jesus, to talk about Jesus. Ah, I remember when we recorded a record for Joe Record Company that was called "Talk, Talk, Talk About Jesus". And ah I remember that we also recorded a song I also wrote about that time but the song was "Talk, Talk, Talk About Jesus" and I like to talk, talk, talk, about Jesus. It says talk, talk, talk, about Jesus because He's been so good to me. So then I like to talk about Jesus. I like to think about Jesus before I go to sleep, dream about Jesus after I go to sleep, wake up thinking about Jesus and then as soon as I'm at myself real good start talking about Jesus and talk about Jesus all day long. Someone would say well Brother Pike you know you must be eccentric. You know the world talks like that thinks like that, but I'm not, Paul, said, if I'm beside myself I'm beside myself for Christ. They said much learning has caused the to be mad Paul, you've gone crazy. Said no, no that's not what it is at all. So then I'm not beside myself, it's scripture that if I talk, talk, talk, about Jesus think, think, think about Jesus meditate, meditate, meditate about Jesus and His laws day and night it's only doing what the Bible said. Bringing every thought to the obedience of Jesus Christ that Jesus may take His body. I say you've got a mind and you've got a body and I would say how much of that mind would you like for somebody else to take. Usually when somebody else is talking, in your mind you're just going like churning you know like somebody churning milk, you just go and you're listening at what they say only in the since of your senses your human senses of nerves as recording here as far as absorbing, as really listening you're not paying any attention to it as a rule because you're just waiting for him to shut up so you could say what you want to say, and you're getting it all together while he's talking. He don't half know what he said unless it's something that you really are interested in. So how much of your mind to you want somebody to take. You want all of it. You don't even hardly have time ah, to come to church and stay and be patient to give a little time to God, we say to the preacher, no to God not the preacher speaking but God speaking from within side, a little time to God to be patient to even get the words of Life. You don't want to even give that much of your mind and time. See and Jesus, why should Christ who owns this body who made this body want you to take part of it, why should He. And besides that any part of that mind that is your mind is corrupt for from the fall satan is interwoven with you, that is to say the old tree of knowledge as to his mind as that spirit of death it's interwoven in you as to a darkness that is a veil that's between you and between God. Or that is between you and life. Even as Jesus when He become our sin there at calvary when the body cried out, my God my God why has thou forsaken me. And the veil of darkness came between Jesus and between that great light and it was as though the daystar that we call the sun had veiled itself in darkness indicating that the spirit of light and life had left the Lord Jesus Christ. Dying out of the presence of the Father being forsaken by the father, given up and destroyed in that we esteem Him smitten of God that we might have the Christ spirit within us to bring us life. His mind, let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus, being in the form of God thought it not robbery that He should be equal with God. Or the equality of receiving abundance of life to be made a God that we might be a member of the God body to live forever. So you don't want to share anytime with God. Why? You was made to be His body, you was illuminated with His understanding in the beginning, it was sweet and wonderful, it was abundance of life that was joy unspeakable and full of glory. It was paradise, it was health and happiness, all of the desires of the heart and it wasn't until the weakness of the flesh as to when it partook of the tree of knowledge as to death and left life that we had all of our troubles, had all of our problems which has abundantly come, pardon me, more and more. So to give the body back to the Lord Jesus as in the originality when it was called the son of God the figure of Him to come is life and life abundantly. And the spirit was sent to us. The body was in the form of a servant that that bodily form might be nailed to calvary as your lamb of passover, that is to pass over death as from Egypt over into Canaan, passing over. So then that lamb was for that purpose. The form of the fallen one even Adam but that second one from heaven even Christ within you the second man Adam on the inside that was made a quickening spirit. That Spirit of Christ that illumination, that image of God in which Adam was made, that wonderful brightness of the image of God who is light that came into Adam as an understanding, the eyes of His understanding enlightened by the glory of God that he might see into the glory world. See when this was lost because he listened to Eve then the problems come. Or that is the spirit left when the body listened to lucifer. So in this we realized that something is gone and it's the mind of Christ, it's the spirit of Christ, it's the life of Christ for my words are spirit and life and a mind is a life. So then we realize something is gone because it was said the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Or that is to say you have within you, Paul said, having the revelation of course: he said you have within you within your body the sentence of death. And that sentence of death and that sentence was thou shalt surely die. And from that time on it has been death and Eve being the mother of all living so was Adam ah, as is said in Adam all die. And ah, I wish I had time you know when we come up here to go into something when I feel you're hungry, something as to the revelation of the son of God. But we just (beginning tape two side one) promise. Then the son shall come all nations shall be blessed through it. Then fourhundred and thirty years following it came to pass. We don't have time to elaborate on this but then came the seed at calvary, the promise seed. And what was said? It was said ye are the people upon whom's the end of the world have come. Ye are the people upon whom's the ends of the world have come. That is to say the promise seed is here, the one to whom the promise was made. And Paul, said, the law it came upon us until the time of the reformation or it came to reveal the impurities of our life to make us see the need for a savior and why that we were dying that we might look unto God. And in this looking toward Christ there came a savior, there came a deliverer. And in seeing the time of the promise fulfilled knowing that the time was at hand then came the promise seed who went down to the heart of the earth to preach to the souls that was in prison, to loose them from death. God hearing in a day accepted as to suffer them as well as you and I who was dead in trespasses and sin. Going into the heart of our earth loosening the soul as to make him a son of God to where he wouldn't be in bondage to the beggarly elements of this body as to these human senses. So then we are on this side of the Jordan as Joshua was. The light shining, no more night, no more of the other side of the hill but God is here no more shadows of doubt, no more clouds of dismay. We know He's once and for all the day star eternally and forever dawning in our heart, and when He comes from there and this coming here and it comes together then this molecular structure it's going to penetrate it's going to come through as the light and were going to find ourself just like you would look at a crystal. Everything gone the infiltration gone, the beginning of the creation of God and this wonderful thing displayed as to this heavenly treasure on the inside of this earthen vessel made manifest in these blood genes, our very genes: Paul, said. As to this wonderful body of the Lord Jesus. This light as to the stones of that city most precious like a jasper stone. Even the light of the understanding of the mind of God destroying evil in the image of the devil with the brightness of His coming as we preach it here and He speaks against that old image of the devil destroying it, putting it out of the way, nailing it to calvary, taken away by His cross and that light of that city most precious, even the light of the lamb which is the light of that city. And in that city crossed over the Jordan of the intellectual mind to find ourself as lively stones built up into a Holy Priesthood. God's building and a great master builder Paul as to Christ putting this together laying it upon the foundation of the apostolic leaders and then Paul being Christ as to the great capstone the revelation the all seeing eye. The time is at hand. The time is at hand. The time of the coming of the promise. For the Bible said and in the fullness of time God sent forth His son, made of a woman, made under the law, and to redeem them that was under the law. You know I say this a lot of times, a man thinks he's a big thing. He thinks he's such a great mighty thing and that woman she's a little something on a string to be told what to do and to push around and mistreat her, when the bible said deal not treacherously against the wife in thy youth for God hateth putting away. And ah, he thinks he's so mighty but consequently God didn't come through the man when it came to the body of the Lord Jesus. He wasn't born through the man at all. Not of his blood seed at all, he completely by passed him all together, He was born of a woman. So that should make us have a new respect for the woman and let the light be shed a little more on her. As a matter of fact it makes me real glad because ah, I'm in the feminine gender and not the masculine gender when it comes to the comparison with Christ though I'm in the masculine gender as comparison to my wife, but in all reality flesh altogether is but one. She's what I am, she's one with me and where just in the feminine gender as to the great spirit as Adam and Eve was as to the great spirit which is in the masculine part. So this makes me happy because we bring forth Christ in out life. This is a great wonderful calling, we should be virtuous, holy, and Godly and as a woman should obey her husband in all things as to the church so should we as the body obey Christ Jesus our head, even the word in all things that we conform to Him. And let me say these few things and were going to close right here because there's so much to say. This means that if were over the Jordan there is no more death to us. Just touching a little bit on Paul's ministry as some things that we expounded to Betty ah at full length. So then were on this side of the Jordan. Now being on this side of the Jordan there's no record where the earth opened up as to the grave as to death to swallow the people anymore. It is a new generation, a new birth, the children now being on the other side of the Jordan. Someone would say well Brother Pike what do you mean on the other side of Jordan, I'm not on the other side of the Jordan. Well if you're not on other side of the Jordan that means that you're still abiding in death, for to be carnally minded is death and the Jordan is the carnal mind and the Jordan was only a type of the carnal mind. There would have been no Jordan had not been for the need of carnal mind to bring to pass all of the things that's spiritual. For the Bible said all of the heavenly things as those things that are in heaven even from the creation of the world are clearly understood by the things which do appear even to the eternal Godhead so that we're without excuse. And the heavens declaring His handy work and all of the earth full of His knowledge, which that means if you unveil as to revelation. I'll have to hurry along because I don't ah, I get along about this place here and we're really just getting started, but you're strength begins to go out. And the supper table, the dinner table, these things begin to call you know and the carnal mind begins to get in there and you've done heard so much you can't can't retain it. And ah you, your interest dwindles away because you can't stay with it. And that's why the brethren get is a lot of times in these little meetings and ah you don't get it, you don't have any strength to hold on like a little baby nursing on the breast and it'll, it'll nurse and it'll pull and it'll nurse and the milk come down after while it's running out the side of it's little mouth and it's done gone hard and fast to sleep. See so, and that's al-right desire the sincere milk of the word that you might grow there by, but the meat is to the strong. You're going to have to have some endurance, you're going to have to have some strength, you'll never be a soldier that goes to the battle unless you've got some kind of strength. And you'll never be the horse that pulls the kings chariot unless you learn to fit the harness and you'll never have that beautiful decoration as to be admired. So here we are, were over the Jordan. Being over the Jordan, lightly touching on what Paul is trying to tell us, then "I show you a mystery", Paul, said, "We shall not all sleep but be changed". He did not say we shall not all die because Christians don't die, people that are not christians do die. And as I so have said in the past I say again that when I speak about that, people that are naturally minded you couldn't never tell them there's a difference between sleeping and death. As far as there concerned intellectually you're all put in a box and that's it, pardon me, they don't see beyond the veil and they don't see anything that shows a differentiating between these things. But beloved friend I can tell you from the bottom of my soul I've been there I know. I've been on both sides and there's nothing less than a world of difference between the two. And I say this and you probably wouldn't understand it being carnal some of you, some of you that are spiritual would right readily understand it. And that is I don't live in the world, neither do I abide in the world, neither am I in the world, neither do I desire the world, neither am I in search of anything of the world. The world to me is the pride of life, the lust of the flesh, all of that passed away at calvary and I am dead to the world by the body of the Lord Jesus as to that that was offered for my sins, and I am alive in this heavenly world as the body of the Lord Jesus by the body of Jesus Christ who was resurrected from the dead. I've passed from death unto life, I shall never come into condemnation because there is now therefore no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, and being not in the flesh I can not walk in the flesh because I am not in the flesh I am in the spirit. And if I was in the flesh which means in the carnal mind I wouldn't be in the spiritual mind which means the spirit so I could not please God. So without faith it's impossible to please God and there's no faith that's in the carnal mind, it's enmity with God. The creature subject to vanity it's made for this world, it's the body of lucifer it's not the body of Jesus Christ. Christ is the beginning of the creation of God so then to please God you have to have the mind of Christ to have the faith of Christ having the faith of Christ I, as Enoch God hath as to the inner man translated me into the marvelous kingdom of my God. And I am being transformated from year to year, from day to day, from time to time by the revealing of these glories from glory to glory, understanding to understanding, and this glory being made manifest as this wonderful wisdom of God that maketh you're face to shine or this light that penetrates through this outer veil. Even to the fullness of it as Jesus on the mountain. We brought out something the other night, pardon me, why that it was just to the head as to a Steven's and to Moses. But here we are this glory on the inside, heavenly treasure in earthen vessels. This glory that's to be made manifest within us at the coming of the Lord as to the transfiguration, the change. This glory, this wonderful heavenly treasure I've got it in my earthen vessel, the Bible said these things of the world, these beggarly elements with all of the splendor and glory of the terrestrial is not to be compared with this glory
