The Simplicity Of Faith

I'm a little bit tired this morning. I had the Lord to speak to me that he wanted me to minister to somebody and I went off to do that. I was just__ Thought maybe He might want me to say just a few things. But as I started the Lord began to speak as usual when He sends me to do that. And different ones began to come in. There are some people that are hungry and within a little while I think I had ministered, according to what they said for five and a half to six hours. I guess it must have been about six hours before I concluded the things that I was saying. I'm just a little bit tired, but still there are people that want to know. There are people that want to know about this world, to understand this world, and they go to great extremes to be able to learn about this world. And they spend many hours in college and in school and many hours in discussion. And whatever your heart hungers after that's what you go after. And time doesn't seem to have anything to do with it. People who get up on a Monday morning, Monday through Friday, some through Saturday, and some through Sunday, they go after the things of the world and they work thus, as to that many hours, that they might have of the things of the world in abundance. Some want to drive one car, some want two cars, some want cars and trucks, some want houses and land, some want money and security, some want clothing and some want education. And it's just amazing at what people want and the way that they go after it. Then when it comes to heavenly things, spiritual things, there is such a slackness, such a spirit of lethargy, such a spirit of unconcern that not too often through the day do they even spend as much as fifteen minutes reading their Bible, or praying, or talking to God, or anybody about godly things. So the Lord as so fixed it to where, as to a sovereignty, every person can have what they want. They can have one thing or another. Whatever they go after, whatever they use their strength up for, whatever they desire, whatever they give their time to and their thought to during the day, whatever they give their eyes to, their concern to, then they are rewarded accordingly. And I feel that my heart is in heaven, my treasures are in heaven, my desires are in heaven, my conversation is in heaven. The only desire I have is heavenly so that's what I go after. Day and night I go after that because that's where my thirst is, my hunger is, my concern. And even though all the other things are added unto me, for Jesus said they would be as to the natural, the physical, whatever it might be. But still they are not my interest. They are not my concern. I'm interested in one thing. That's Christ. Let's read just a little bit from the book of Saint Matthew chapter twenty-one. It's the twenty-first verse. Maybe we should read a little more than that. Let's start with the seventeenth verse. We had kind of what I would have thought would have been an unusual thing happen today. Brother Taylor, or some of them, might have mentioned it to you, but we received a letter from Mr. Bush and Mrs. Bush. It really was not a letter. It was a card with quite a bit of writing on it. And they were congratulating me and Betty by sending their blessings to us on our wedding anniversary. And concluded by saying God bless you after the many good things they said, as to God and how they desired that God would bless us. And I thought it was unusual because it was written in their hand write as to the letter being addressed and whatever, and then signed by them. And then I noticed that it also had the presidential seal, as to indenture with the gold seal on it. And I thought that was real strange as to the president writing to us telling us this. But then I thought after I minister about five or six hours today, as to the things of significance, and as to what it had to do with right at this particular time, that maybe it wasn't so strange at all as to what we were seeing. Reading from the twenty-first chapter. I'll just read here from the twentieth verse. "And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away. Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." Now to me that's really something right there. Things that I want, things that I desire, all things that I desire, all I have to do is tell the Lord. I ask Him for it, I believe and it happens. Whereas, in Mark it is said as to the same thing here as they marveled about the tree. It is expressed in a few different words, but all meaning the same thing, and that of the disciples. And it is said that if we shall believe, say what you will, don't doubt, believe in your heart and it shall come to pass, and ye shall say have whatsoever you say. Whereas, to us as a people that is so far, that is so farfetched we could never, never, as a people, grasp the fact that we actually can do that. Someone would say, Well, the prophets could, or he could, or they could, or Jesus could, but let's face reality. In all reality nobody does that. Nobody can do that. Well, that's wrong. That is so wrong. See, it is so wrong, so very wrong. I don't know in my life time of anything really that I'm ask for that I needed, or really desired but what God has given it to me whether it was in the realms of wealth that I needed for my loved ones, or to help people, or the spread the gospel, or whatever, to seek the Kingdom. All of these things are added unto you. And the Lord has abundantly blessed us in every way. So then, I would probable dispute with you over the fact that you feel the way you do. Ask what you will, say what you will. Someone says, Well, have you got what you ask for? I have received what I ask for. Now someone would say, Well, did you ever just say it's going to be that way and it came to pass? I have on more than one occasion. I've said as to someone, or to my children, or whatever, in a venture, a venture sometimes that was many, many tens of thousands of dollars. And I would say, And this is the way that it will be. It will be that way. It won't be any other way. It will come to pass exactly that way. It came to pass exactly that way. So then, I would have little point of dispute with you because I've been entreated by God in such a great way that I have been entreated in so many wonderful things as to the goodness of God. And when you come to know God and understand God it's not hard to believe God. The Bible says as to the later days, they that know their God shall do great wonderful exploits. But if you do not know God, God of course is the Word, and if you do not know God as the great eternal life, the great eternal spirit, then you are not going to do any exploits, though you might say, and you might testify, or you might go, you might run, you might try to do a lot of things, but if you don't know god you're not going to be able to use your faith because faith don't come just because you feel good or you've got an ambition and you want to do something, you know, it doesn't come that way. But it comes by hearing of the Word. And just because you have heard the Word doesn't necessarily mean you're going to have faith either though it does come by the hearing of the Word. But that doesn't mean that you're going to have faith just because you hear it. Many thousands of people hear it, even millions, and still don't really have faith. But if you hear it, it says, have faith in God and the faith is in the Word. It comes from the Word. It is in the Word. And to have faith in God and then say what you will and it will be done. And use your shield of faith. And as you use your shield of faith it will quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. It will stop him in every way. Well, anyway, this is a wonderful thing and this is a wonderful thought, especially in that we are to be translated by faith. Now today of course it was one of those days when the Lord had sent me to talk and it was, as to the best of my ability that I could tell, that it was the revelation of the Lord, and God speaking in the great mysteries of God for about five or six hours. Whereas tonight we're here to talk to you as to a real simplicity as to the milk of the Word, which is the Spirit of the Lord, and as to faith, which faith that we need to be translated. It would be so wonderful that if every time we come together we could have this hunger and this thirst. And a lot of times my wife fusses with me about this because she used to quite a bit in the past say, You go and you feed others and they feed for hours and then when we come to church we don't get fed. See? And a lot of that is true to some extent, and yet it's not altogether because you do get fed. And you do get fed some things, and I'm sure she meant that there was some things that came forth but not as to the deep mysteries of God in the way that she would like to hear them because she likes the deep mysteries of God. I think according to Brother Taylor Sister Lindy has turned in her complaint, too. And some of the others; they've turned it in personally to me. But, you know, it's like talking about faith tonight in the simple things. I come here and I have so many babes in Christ that all that they can get is the milk of the Word, because__ It's not necessarily because they are young and because they haven't been in Church for awhile, but it is because they do not apply themselves. They do not have a spiritual interest. They do not have a spiritual hunger. Through the day they're not hungering and thirsting after the things of God. And as a consequence of that when they come into the service there is nothing there to draw anything from God. And of course if God doesn't speak what then can I say other than teach you and tell you a few things about the wonderful ways of the Lord. Like Jesus, when Jesus was out working miracles and He went into a place to work miracles, and when He got into this place the Bible said, many mighty works that He could not do, though He was God in the flesh, because of their unbelief. And so then, it is that when we grow up in the Lord to the extent to hunger and thirst, the Bible said, then we receive the meat of the Word. It is God's pleasure that meat should be in the House of the Lord for He speaks of this. And then when we learn to exercise our senses, a lot of you never exercise your senses toward God or toward spiritual things. I know that for sure because I'm around you in and out all the time and you're around. And almost without fail when I meet you you have your mind on something natural. You're talking about something natural. You're interest is in something natural. And to you that's your world. That's your desire. That's what you want to do. That's where you are putting your time. That's where you're putting your effort. That's where you're putting your strength. And your mind is on your intelligence. Your mind is on your face. Your mind is on your form. Your mind is on your future. Your mind is on all the past problems, or heartaches, and you're either under oppression and cast down as one that has fell, or your are either filled with the ego of fleshly exuberance to do something natural and something in the flesh. You know, and there is nothing wrong with doing something in the flesh if you're doing it for God. And when I say in the flesh you don't really do anything for God in the flesh, you do it in the spirit. But in that you consider yourselves to be in the flesh that's the way you think. See? Then there is nothing wrong as long as you are doing it for God. And there is nothing wrong with having something for the flesh. And when we say that we speak of the spiritual things God has given us as to that which naturally is necessitated to life for survival. See? There is nothing wrong as long as your mind is not on it. As long as you are not thinking on it, as long as you're not desiring it as to the spiritual thing that you desire in God, that if I'm going to set down and eat a big meal and I say, Well, praise God. Glory to God. My! This is such a wonderful meal, Betty. I just feel like this gives me a strength to where I can just go out and really do something. Whereas the Bible says, you know, blessed is a nation when the king eats for strength. Or I say, This is a wonderful meal. Brother Taylor takes me some times and he'll buy me something and this is a wonderful meal. But all the time I'm setting there in the cafe, or wherever, I am thinking about the Lord, and I'm thinking about lost people. And I'm thinking, now, I need this strength. Sometimes when I leave for here Betty, she'll take me out to get me a meal and I think on the way, I'll think, Well, God, I've got to have something to eat, I'm just completely famished. My strength is completely exhausted and I need something to eat and after I eat I feel better. And it depends on the routine of your life as to how you are going to feel, how much strength you're going to have, or what you're going to be. And some ways of my life, as to the routine of my life, takes me in to such place or way, that it exhausts my strength. But nevertheless, God always gives me strength for the Bible says your strength shall be as your day. Fifty years, sixty years, forty years, thirty years; it doesn't matter. And God is our strength, and the Bible said, Let the weak say I'm strong, and be strong in the power of My might. But I said all of that to say this. It would please me well, it would please God well, that if we hungered and thirsted all the time after the Word of the Lord that He might fill us after the wonderful revelation of God, after the meat of the Word, after the deep mysteries. I watched today and five or six hours of men sitting there that did not open their mouths; they just sit there. Some of their hearts were so hungry. And I know that in these conversations, you know, and in amongst these groups there are reflectors and they listen, and listen with great, great attentiveness. But really they don't do nothing but reflect. When they go back out it will be nothing but the same old way of life with them and they'll try to incorporate all this into their exuberance, their zeal, and their plans to project their personalities, and to reach their goals in life of financial securities and all these kind of things. But then on the other hand, there are some there that receive this Word with gratefulness of heart and their hearts burn like fire. And sometimes tears will trickle down their cheeks, and they are moving in to the wonderful world of God because they are transformating in mind from one glory to another glory. From one understanding to another understanding, and they are not receiving this as an intellectual reflection that they might put it in a memory bank so that they can use it is a gullible way as to Satan's kingdom. But they are inspired of God and it is a deep felt conviction of a conception in their heart that brings forth the Son of God as a wonderful image and as a wonderful person of light that people may see the glory of God in their life and the blessing of the Lord in their life to the extent that this wonderful abundance of God's love and glory just literally overflows. As David said, My cup runs over. And in this they receive an inspiration and a quickening of God. They receive an understanding of God, whereas the Bible said they understanding is a tree of life. And they receive such an understanding that suddenly they know what God is saying and they believe what God is saying and this is faith. And faith rises up like Jesus said, to the extent that they find themselves desiring something and when they do they just say, Lord, you're good. I love you. And they might break into tears. They might do like Jesus did when He stood at the tomb of Lazarus saying, Father, I know that Thou hearest me always. And he might sob a little bit or sigh on the inside and that faith just goes out just like a rocket and then you know that you've made contact with God and the showers of His blessings, inspiration, whether it be as unto tears, or whether it be as to humility or gratefulness, or joy, or rejoicing. The Spirit works in many different ways. One Spirit, many operations. But anyway, it effects different people in different ways and when this great wonderful thing happens they just know in their heart that God has heard their prayer and they know in their heart that God has answered their prayers and they know that they have what they asked God for and they rest solely in the conviction of faith that it is done, in that faith is the substance of things hoped for. It is the evidence of things not seen. Jesus said, If you desire something when you pray believe that you receive it and you shall have it. Now, first of all, the thing that we need to remember just in a little exhortation tonight, the first thing that we need to remember is that if faith doesn't work, if it is so hard to obtain unto the things of God then there is something wrong, because what good is faith? Why did God give it to us? What is the purpose of it if it is so hard for us to use? If it is so hard for us to have. That is to say, one would say, Well, Brother Pike, I just, you know, I want to believe but it's just too hard for me. Or they would say, I just tried and tried, Brother Pike and I just can't make it. Now, if faith is really like you say that it is, and if it is as to your terminology, your thinking, then how is it that a person that is out in sin, they've never fasted, they've never prayed, they've never lived a good life, they've never exercised their senses as to try to believe. Why is it that they so simple like, they call on the name of Jesus and believe in their heart and salvation by faith is given unto them? How is it that they have such great faith being sinners and you're suppose to be such great people and don't have any faith at all? I think this is what really upset the Lord when He was on the boat trying to get a little rest, tired, sleepy, probably weak and run down in His body from staying up at night and preaching and all the other things, and was dependent fully upon the grace of God and the strength of the Spirit, laying there trying to get a little rest while the rest of them was filled with exuberance out on the sea, you know. And finally when the storm came up they ran over and they said, Master, Master, you know, this is a terrible storm. You've got to do something. Don't you care whether or not this boat sinks and we all drown? Can you imagine talking to God Almighty like that? It's like I said concerning Moses there when Moses spoke to the Lord and said, Lord, said, You can't kill these people. Said, If you kill these people they'll say you just led them out here to slaughter them out here in the wilderness. Can you imagine a man talking to God like that? And when Abraham said, Now, Lord, said, Shall not the judge of all the earth do right. Are you going to kill these people? we say. See? God is so made it to where you can communicate with Him on a man's level. And He doesn't get upset at you. He doesn't try to destroy you. He doesn't feel insulted just because you are a mortal talking to the great wonderful majesty of majesties. See? But He's compassionate. He's loving. He's kind. Well, anyway, getting into the wonderful world of Spirit, the wonderful mind of the Spirit, it just, my! that's my heaven, that's my joy, that's my jubilance. Just to live there all the time in those great wonderful places. As I said, about five or six hours of ministering in that mind today. Now, but with the little simplicity of the message tonight trying to explain the simplicity of faith, or make you to stop and think of how that Satan through his subtleness, with his deception, the same way he overthrew Eve, how that he so gets you mixed up in your mind, you know, that, well, I just can't believe. Maybe I didn't fast enough, maybe I didn't pray enough, maybe I ain't good enough, see? And he keeps you in this fuddled up mind all the time and intimidates you with every wrong thought and every wrong move and keeps you bound tighter than a hat band. See? And yet here somebody comes right into your midst that don't know nothing about God and they call on the name of the Lord believing and their faith works. Now, I said that to say this. Why is it that our faith don't work? Here they are out on the ship and they said, Don't you care whether or not we drown? And Jesus said__ He rose up and He just lifted His hands. You know, being a man He just lifted His hands. He said__ Said to the winds, He said, Peace. He looked down at the waves and He said, Be still. And then everything just calmed down. And when He done that they marvelled and they said, What manner of man is this that even the wind and the sea obey Him? And Jesus marveled at them and He said, Oh, ye of little faith. Oh, ye of little faith. Now, you know, this is a real thought when you talk about ye of little faith because here Peter is, and Jesus on another occasion here He comes walking on the sea and Peter said, Lord, if that's you then bid me to come to you. And the Lord said, Come on, Peter. And he just jumps overboard, you know, in His exuberance. He apparently, momentarily forgets about the sea and everything else. He is so carried away with seeing the Lord Jesus he jumps overboard and he starts walking on the water and there those men are looking at him like he's some kind of a god. Which they were right. And as he walked on the water, walking on to Jesus, just about the time he was getting fairly close to Jesus all of a sudden he looked down at the sea. He got his mind off of the Lord and just that quick down he went. Now, I said that to get a point over here. See? He was a masterful, masterful man, admired by all of them walking on the water the same way that the master was doing. And just the very minute that his thoughts were taken away from the Word his believing went away like that and he was drowning. And then when he looked up again at the Word he had just enough faith to believe in the mercies of God that Jesus would save him, and so He did. But I said that to say this, that you're faith works instantaneously. From the very moment you believe, the very moment, something starts happening, from the very moment that you stop believing something in reverse starts happening. From the very moment that Peter believed, when the Lord said come as to the Word, out he went. He was walking on the water. From the very minute that he begin to think as he looked down and disbelieved, as to the fear that struck his heart, then all of a sudden he began to sink. And the very minute that he looked back up and called on the Lord his faith began to work again. So then, this is just being said as to you that you might have some idea of how faith works. If it's not a long draw out thing where you say, Well, Lord, you promised it but I know I didn't get it in the last three years, but if I'll hold on five more years, you know, well, Lord, I don't know, I believe, maybe. You know, it don't work like that. It doesn't work like that at all. I've used it in so many ways that it's absolutely amazing. Faith works exactly like I'm telling you. It works instantaneously. Faith? Why is it that I have to have faith? I have to have faith to have fellowship with God. Someone would say, Well, what does faith have to do with it? Why do I have to have faith to have fellowship with God? Because it's by faith that God purifies our heart. And God cannot look upon iniquity. Therefore, the only way He can look at me is by faith. If I believe in the righteousness of Jesus Christ and I confess with my mouth unto the conviction of that salvation, and the Bible says they overcame Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the words of their testimony. So, when I believe, the very moment I believe I become purified. The very moment I become purified the Lord looks at me. And the very moment He looks at me I have the desire of my heart. That's why the Bible said that we should do the things that please God. God having already given us all things that pertain unto life through Jesus Christ and yet we are robbed of them daily by Satan who is the thief and the robber in that he robs us by the oppression of mind and by telling us all of these things as to keep us negative in our thinking. See? But in that He has given us all these things Jesus tells us that we should do the things that please Him. Have a hunger, have a thirst, have an interest in godly things, in spiritual things, not walking by sight looking for the natural things, hungering and thirsting after the natural things. The Bible said we don't walk by sight we walk by faith. You know, if you walk by sight then you are blind. That's those conductive nerves and you are feeling your way around to satisfy that gullible desire, that desire which Satan has put in your heart as to the hunger after the world. See? And if that hunger is there then the love of God is not in you. But when you love the Lord and you don't just fumble around in your mind, but you try to pray, you try to fast, you try to study the Bible, you try to walk with God for the purpose of making the heart confident. Not that that's going to get you anywhere as to what you are doing. It is only to confident the heart that God hears you. That is you're acting in a way to draw nigh to God to have a little fellowship. I say, Well, Brother Taylor lives over the hill. I wish me and Brother Taylor could have some fellowship. I don't know why he don't come to see me. I don't know why. And then one day I finally go over to Brother Taylor's house and I get there and I say, Well, Brother Taylor, why don't you come over to visit me? And he says, Well, I'm not going to come as long as that bulldog is out there growling at me. See? And every time that God wants to come over to your house if that old dog, as the Bible refers to it of them in the world as growling, going on and lapping his vomit, or the old sow is wallowing in her mire and slinging it ever where God isn't going to come around. But the very minute that God purifies your heart by faith you are not a swine, you are not a dog and that dog part is dead and that swine part is dead by Calvary in believing... (Start tape one, side two.).... that is just that which is emanating from God. And someone would say, Well, this is unclean and the sow is unclean and the dog is unclean. We brought these things out today in a revelational thing, but see? the Bible said there is nothing of itself unclean but to him that esteemeth a thing to be unclean then it's unclean. On the hogs level, on the dogs level, it doesn't bother the dog to lap vomit. It doesn't bother the hog to wallow in the mire and eat slop. That's his world. That's his level. That's his food. That's his paradise. There's nothing unclean to him about it. And in your world it just shows a different level. And to you certain things are unclean. But that's like the devil. To the devil in all of his things that he does there is nothing unclean to him; that's his world. He's happy. He's satisfied. That's his motivation of life, as we would say, and he's doing what comes naturally, as we say, as to what he is and his nature and his desire. Well, anyway, we'd have to go into some deep water to talk about those things. We talked about some of them today and many times I wish that we could bring out here what we bring out outside. But after all, are you going to set here six hours tonight while I bring it out? Why that's so alarming to some people that they couldn't hardly stand the thoughts that they'd have to be here six hours. See? And so then that means that somebody gets it that does set there six hours. As I said, Moses on the mountain for eighty days, he got it. Jesus in the wilderness for forty days, he got it. And others, you know, continuing in prayer and whatever, they get it. The church of yesteryear that spent all of their time from day to day all day long just breaking bread with singleness of heart, going from house to house preaching and praising and loving the Lord and God meeting their needs so abundantly, everybody selling all that they had and sharing with one another, and on and on it went with the gospel. See? So you say, What are you saying, Brother Pike? I'm saying that when we come to understand it is so much better. It is such a great wonderful world. But, anyway, to get back to the major theme of our thought here, faith. Faith. Faith is the substance. Faith is the substance. What are you desiring? Jesus said if you desire anything, when you pray believe that you have it and you shall receive it. Why? Because He said faith is that substance. Whatever that substance is, if the substance is the car, that's a substance. If it is a house, that's a substance. If it is health, as to your flesh, that's a substance. Whatever the substance of your desire is when you pray believe that you receive it. Believe that it's yours. Lay hold on that and then when you do faith, real genuine faith, if it rises in your heart (with the heart men believeth) then that is the substance that you desire. Once you get faith there is no way that you can fail but to receive that thing because faith is the proof. Faith is the very substance. It is so powerful as to rewarding of it coming to pass. Faith brought it into existence. Faith created it for you. Faith confiscated it and brought it to you for the Bible said, By faith you understand that the worlds were framed and all things were spoken into existence by faith. And the elders obtained a good report by faith and people had their dead raised out of the grave by faith and salvation is by faith. And many other things that we could say as to faith. See? And someone would say, For me, Brother Pike? I can see that for Elijah. But the Bible said Elijah was a man of like passion the same as Brother Pike. And of like passion the same as Brother Taylor. And of like passion the same as Brother John and the other Brethren. He was a man that was just exactly like you. He was tempted in every way. He had the same problems to put up with. He had to overcome the same things, as to that which emanates from this natural structure and this natural mind, as to Satan's continual warfare. But nevertheless he believed. He prayed until he believed and those things happened that he ask for, even to the rain being held back and the rain coming for numbers of years. So then, faith is the substance of things hoped for. It is the evidence of the things that you want which you cannot see. It is the positive evidence, as in court the positive evidence brings conviction. So as to it being the evidence of the things, see? that you desire. That's why the Bible said we walk not by sight but by faith. There is a throne. There is a God. There is a heaven. There is a street of gold. There are gates that are of pearls. There is this wonderful spiritual world. There is an invisible world. There is a great mighty world as to this one being only a reflection of it. There is a real genuine man and woman that will live forever. They are gods. They're made to live forever. And though the beauty of all this isn't seen, and though you cannot see it with your natural eye. To begin with, one of the reasons you cannot, like Paul, and we brought this out in revelation today, too. So great and mighty is the mystery. It's so great that when Paul, as to the light being revealed to him, he went blind. He was immediately blind. Or did it make him blind? Or did it reveal that he was blind? It revealed that he was blind. People in the world are blind. They cannot see this great light when it comes. So, going down to the street called Straight, having been one of the predestinated, he got straightened out. And in this the scales fell from his eyes. And that's why he preached, as to the Jews, as to even unto this day there is a veil over your face which is untaken away, even until this day, Paul said. I know, he could have said, because it was taken away from my eyes and I know that you don't see because I do see what we did not see with all of my learning. And then, of course, he said, this veil is done away with in Christ. Jesus has rent the veil. And then, of course, we'd have to get into revelation and quite a number of things we got into today. But this is where we're at. Do you believe? Jesus said all things are possible to them that can believe. Can you believe? Someone would say, No. So then, what would the preacher say to you? I as a minister, of course? What would I say to you? Can you believe? If you say no then I say, Well, you know, you can't have salvation. Someone said, Well, I can't believe for this and I can't believe for that. It's for sure if you can't believe for those things that you can't believe for salvation. So then, it just means that you are not one of the pre-ordained. You are not one of the elect, even though you've had the same opportunity, same sovereignty, when God looked down and saw the hardness of your heart and the love of the world in you, and He saw that you were not going to change nor try to make any difference, as to trying to find spiritual things, and you're just going to be religious, and so then, He didn't write your name down. And so then, them that can believe for God has dwelt a measure unto of faith unto every man accordingly, and to them that can believe, all men have not faith, as to the faith of Christ, but God has dwelt a measure of faith unto every man. There is a believing. Even the devil believes. So if you can believe all things are possible to them that believe because if you can believe then you are a believer. That means that you have right to all heaven and all wealth. All wealth. All of the things of the world belongs to you, as to the gold, the silver, the pearls, and the diamonds, and the rubies, and the splendor and the magnificence and the prestige. Whatever it might be that's got in the world, and besides that with the mind of Christ and with faith, that is the thing that made a diamond and a pearl, and made a fish and made a man and made a star and made the waters, and made the oysters, as to where the pearls are found. See? So when you are God, when you are God's, as to membership of the body, in that He was God, then when you believe, when you can command the Lord concerning the works of His hands you can have anything. God, the Spirit, has made Himself subject to Jesus Christ and you being the body, therefore, the Lord Jesus Christ His desire as to what He wants, God automatically performs it because that is God manifested in the flesh. He said command thou me. That is, faith actually commands God to the extent that it believes what God says as to the Word, and automatically causes the Word to function to become Spirit and life and power in that it is the gospel of power and life. And it come to life for you. Well, anyway, let's stand together. I've enjoyed talking with you just a few minutes tonight. It's kind of a simple subject as it would seem to the natural mind, but so needy in the world of today. So needy to the people as to believe. If thou canst believe then that means that you are in that wonderful world of God and all things belong to you so you can have all things. When He said all things are possible to them that believe all things are possible. Or that is, a believer, all things belong to you so enjoy at will with your faith for that is to say that because you believe then that means there is nothing impossible unto you. The Bible emphatically states, With God nothing is impossible. And then it emphatically states a little further along, With you, if you believe, nothing is impossible. Say what you will. Well, anyway, there are a lot of questions arises as to me saying what I will and you saying what you will as to how we can do this and not get off tract and not conglomerate. But if you'd been there today and heard the revelation as to what we said about it and could have understood as to what we pointed out about the revelation of the Lord Jesus. You would have known for a surety there is no way for it to go wrong and be of tract. It is just so just right. All right. Let's sing a little chorus together. (Singing.) Can you sing that with me? (Singing.) Can you sing that with me? (Singing.) Let's sing another little chorus together. We come to church to praise the Lord, to sing to Christ, to love the Lord, and we're suppose to move on to perfection. Let us go on to perfection. It was just in the last day or two as to some little group that we were explaining why it is so necessary to go on to perfection, and how that we so misunderstand the Word, even though we hear it verbatim, and the Word we scrutinize and listen and miss it a hundred thousand miles. And then, of course, suddenly it's revealed to us. It's revelated to us. And with that we suddenly realize, suddenly realize how much that we don't know. I noticed today as the Spirit was expounding that I've had some that's even in my congregation that just literally, it's been a torture to have them there because of their confidence of how great they are and what they're going to be. And I noticed today, even though they tried not to let me know it, I noticed how undone they were. How much that they didn't__ They didn't hardly know nothing when the Spirit of the Lord began to talk, and how that they grabbed, just grasped at it to try to get a hold of it as to feel that desire of what they think they're suppose to be and as to this great human feeling, you know. But, folks, as I told them today, it would be so wonderful if you could be just what you are. Paul said, I am what I am by the grace of God and whatever you are it's because the grace has made you that way. You wont go any further than the grace that's been allotted unto you. If there's an allotment of grace, as to Paul's level, you'll get it. If it's as to another level, whatever your level is that's what you'll get it. Because the grace of God is to the allowance of that great wonderful majesty of heaven is all you'll ever be anyway. And you don't realize how you dwarf yourself as to your vain imagination that He told you to cast down, as to what you feel as to your personal ambition. I got some people that come here regular that I really love. I think a lot of and I see them, and I see great potentials in them, and I think, Lord, that's so pitiful. This man is so sure that he's ordained to such great things and I'm looking ahead. I see his future. I can see he's so mixed up that what he's going to do, he's going to burn himself up with zeal. Like Jesus said, The zeal of our house has eaten me up. And that with their own physical display, as to from their temple, their house, that they are literally eating God up, as to the Word and Spirit to where they don't know and they don't understand and it's just pitiful. But then on the other hand I see some that feel like they're nothing. Like Paul said, less than nothing. And like the man that said, Oh, Lord, I didn't think that I was worthy to come in under your roof, though I'm a man of authority and I say to one go and to one come and they do that. And said, Because of this I recognize your great wonderful authority. And said, I just didn't feel worthy to even come to you; I'm just sending somebody to ask you if you'll just speak the Word in behalf of my servant. And then the woman that came that bowed down at the feet of Jesus. She washed His feet with tears and dried His feet with the hair of her head. And when someone wanted to accuse her Jesus said, You didn't do this to me. You didn't go what the woman did to me. And said, For a memorial this shall be spoken of her throughout the world and today it is. It's published in the book. And then when the woman came for her daughter the woman came and when she asked for the blessings of the Lord and He said to her, It's not fit, as we would say, to give the bread of the children to the dogs. And she just, no repercussion, didn't contest what He said, just in great, real, genuine humility said, That's true, Master, but the dogs do eat of the crumbs. And He said, Woman, great is thy faith. You just say what you will. Humility before honor. Moses, the meekest man of all the land. Said, Miriam, Aaron, wasn't you afraid to speak about Moses? Think, he's the meekest man in all the land. And Jesus, why a prophet like unto Jesus. Whereas, Jesus came and it was said of Jesus, Take my yoke and learn of Me. I'm meek and I'm lowly in heart. And when you do this you'll find rest to your soul. The devil will withdraw, we will say, and it won't be that thing of your fleshly exuberance and feeling like you're failing because you can't do what you think you're cut out to do, or always pressing yourself to be something, or to project something that you're not. But just follow my example. Find a brother and entreat the brother to the extent that you wash his feet. Esteem him better than yourself and look on the things of another and seek the welfare of another and stop seeking all this stuff that you think you are suppose to have and to be. You know, the first news you know the power of God will come on you, the Spirit of the Lord will come to you, the wisdom of God will come on you. As to the Stephen they could not withstand the wisdom by which he spake, beheld his face as that of an angel and he was filled with power. And this thing will come on you and all of these other things will follow you. They'll be added unto you because God owns them and all of them belongs to God. And wherever God is they gather there, as to the carcass. Whether soever the carcass is hither shall the eagles be gathered together. And with these things you'll find as to loving righteousness, which is the Word of the Lord, and which is the Spirit of the Lord, and the good, holy, godly things of God, to be holy in body and spirit. The Bible said to love righteousness. Because thou hast loved righteousness God, the Lord even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. So then it's a true fact that as long as you run around like you're doing you're going to do nothing. He said, find yourself trying to project a vain thing, as to a vain image and it will be Satan savoring the things that be of the flesh. But if you'll just simmer down, be what you are, love the Lord, try to grow in the grace and knowledge of the truth, not the knowledge of the world to know a whole lot to tell somebody, to explain something that ain't worth the time that you took to explain it because it's foolishness anyway. The Bible said the wisdom of this world is foolishness. Don't go down to Egypt for your help as to books and all these other kind of things. Every time you go to reading books, just read books, read books, then you are going to the flesh to get your understanding because that's the flesh that did that. Find something that's godly, something that's spiritual. If anything be lovely, anything have any virtue in them, something that be spiritual. Be spiritually minded. Find the Spirit. You know, just to meditate in the laws of God and to love Jesus, you just get right in there. You prepare that heart to where you feel close to the Lord, you don't feel that distance, and then all of a sudden the wonderfulness of God will just be with you everywhere you go, every time you open your mouth, every time you want to think, or mediate something will start pouring into your heart and into your mind because the more you get the flesh out of the way, the more you kill out the body, the more you go by the whipping post, the less there is of you the more there is of Christ. Jesus took this from the manger, conquered the body, He overcame and began to eat of the hidden manna. And He overcame the body until there wasn't a thought left. And He became a quickening spirit. All right. Let's sing another little chorus together. The altar are open if you'd like to come. (Singing.) I brought out some revelation today on the broken stone. It takes quite a bit of revelation to bring out concerning the broken stone. But, anyway, the stone is rolled away. And in the Old Testament we went back into the past of yesteryear to bring out the revelation that brought us to the New Testament to bring out the revelation that pointed us on to the present day as to what we're living in to bring out the revelation. The three dimensional unfolding, as from start to finish, and then the present day truth is here which is the revelation of translation. So, to go into those things it takes a hunger, it takes a desire, it takes a thirst to find this. Someone would say then, Brother Pike who is going to find it? The true elect. For the true elect will hunger and thirst until they are filled. And that hunger on the inside of them is of God as to the wonderful world of God. Their conversation will be in heaven, their desire will be in heaven. All of their efforts will be in heaven. They'll be laying up their treasures in heaven because they're heavenly people that dwell on the inside of a little tabernacle. The others that will not do that will have a worldly desire. All of their desires will be for the natural and all of their exuberance, all of their efforts will be for the natural and they'll do all of the things in the natural because it is Lucifer as to the lights and worldly desire that's on the inside of them. And if that be true then the love of the Father isn't there because the love of the world is there. So it is just a little flock. Straight is the gate, narrow is the way. Out of all humanity from beginning to end it's just going to be a little flock. There ain't going to be very many, but those few they will hunger, they will thirst, they will want this above all things. Let's sing that together one more time, can we? (Singing.) Sing it the way we usually sing it now, as to a present day application. (Singing.) Let's stop right there now and think. You are not in the world. I've chosen you out of the world. You're not in the flesh. If you were you could not please God, but I've chosen you out of the flesh. I've hid you in the Spirit with God. With Christ in God whom the heavens have received. You are not in the world but I've chosen you out of the world. I've translated your inner man, your spirit into the world of spirits. I've put blood on the seat of atonement as for you that your fleshly man will have no problems as to mercy. And besides that you that are Christians you are dead by the body of the Lord Jesus Christ and the body profiteth nothing. I wish we could go into the revelation of that even tonight as to why the Lord came in the image of sin; how He was able to do that. But, anyway, you're free. You are made out of the dust. That old heart becomes stony. Some people even turn to stone. I've seen them where they were turning to stone. You could rub their arms and little stones would fall off of them. Medical science couldn't do anything. You are out of the dust. That heart of stone has been taken away. The grave, the angel had rolled the stone back. The broken stone. As to the broken stone. Maybe sometimes we'll be able to go into it concerning the broken stone and the stone that was not broken. And to explain the greatness just in a little measure of what God has done, as today having run down some things. Going to Genesis and all the way to the book of Revelation. Gave kind of a trail, a sequence, of how great and mighty the plan of God is, and the revelation of God. And how that it's not a fumble. It's not a mistake. Everything was so beautifully precise even until this very moment. And there is nothing lacking and nothing missing, nothing out of order. It is so wonderful even until this very present moment. So then, the stone is broken, as to one. But there was a stone that wasn't broken. And there is a light that's been unveiled in the removing of the stone. We brought out the revelation of that also today as to writing the laws upon the table of the heart. So there's a world of difference. You don't know how secure you are tonight. Like a little babe in a mother's arm, so secure in the Lord Jesus Christ. And the richness of the wonderful world of God that you have opportunity to enter into and to be exposed to. There is nothing to be compared with it and yet you still give your time to the beggarly elements of this world, when Paul said these beggarly elements are not to be compared to the wonderful heavenly treasure which is within you that will be revealed. And of course we brought out some revelation on that today as to these great wonderful world. Not knowing the revelation, not understanding, you could never find it though you (Begin tape two, side one.)...and never get near it. Though you could go to college, though you could go to high school, though you could do all things as to whatever seal. It doesn't matter. Study all the books, read all the books, you'll never even get near it because this is higher above your understanding than the heavens is the earth. You can't even see it. You can't find it. But if you're just a little babe if you'll yield yourself to God and be so in simplicity as just to yield yourself to the Lord, God will reveal these things to you, for the Bible said out of the mouth of babes and sucklings God hath perfected praise. And though you be ever so small as a little child, you must become as a little child to even enter into this, as to the innocency. And become as a little child he'll make this known to you and be so wonderful. So wonderful. And as I said today, so many people their so positive that they are a part of this, and as some means and measures they are. But as to the real thing and the real life, and the real world, they know so little about it until it's absolutely shocking. They don't even know, some doesn't even know that it exists. When a few things are brought forth many of them just reflect it. That's all there is to it. They never understand. They never get it. They never become part of it. But out of all of those there are a few that pick up a little bit here and a little bit there. Thirty fold, sixty fold, hundred fold. And as they go on with God if Jesus tarrys they'll get great and mighty things. Now whether you obtain unto one man's measure or another measure that is yet to be seen. Your fleshly exuberance cannot make you obtain unto the measure. But as to the wonderful revelation which Paul received it's very evident that it was here at the beginning, and if it's here at the end then this must be the end of the world. If that was the beginning and now that same revelation is here at the end, someone would say, Brother Pike, you don't really believe that the same revelation that Paul had is here. I don't known of but one revelation and that was the one that Paul had, the same one that John had. And it was called the revelation of Jesus Christ. And indeed it is here. It is here in such a way that if you could conceive of it you would be absolutely swallowed up, not just coming to church and enjoying affiliating with these things. As they set today, numbers of them set today, Brother Tony, Brother Philip, and the others as they set today, and for about five or six hours. Which they've done this before again and again. And these wonderful things came forth as God spoke. Some of them was literally shocked to the core of their soul. And even as some of them set there today there was things that I've never heard the spirit speak to them. If he has it's been out of my presence. And as to this ministry here, never. Things were spoken to a Brother today by himself that all the rest of them that come in and didn't get any of it. It was so fantastically wonderful, so broad in just saying what we did today caused tears to fill his eyes. And we said things there that I have never said to any of you. See? Just to that one single individual, I've never said to any of you that's in here in all these the years that we've ministered here. Because there are so many hundreds of thousands of things that we've not said to you, and yet it thrilled his heart so much that he just over flowed and the tears filled his eyes. See? Your hearts burn within you when Christ begins to speak. But nevertheless people who humble their hearts, people who search, people who seek, people who hunger, people who thirst they will get these things because God will see to it. And this one individual today, it was obvious that the Lord was telling me that He wanted me to speak to him. And then after I spoke to him, or not me but the Lord, I told him why that it was him as an individual, and why it was directed to him as to this day, and why the Lord did what He did. See? And it's so wonderful. It's so wonderful. Well, let's sing this little closing verse or two here so we can let you go. (Singing.) Great is the mystery of godliness. Great is the mystery of godliness. How many things then is there in the mystery of godliness, Brother Pike? Hundreds of thousands of thousands of thousands. If all the things that He did were written and put in a book the world could not contain the books. And with all of the books that you read, as of the natural, thousands of writers, thousands of millions of words as to characters, and you try to get something, you'll never read all of those books. And then if you do you've learned exactly nothing. It takes the Spirit to reveal it because this can come only by one thing. By the revelation. The Bible said pray that God will give you the Spirit of revelation that these things might be revealed unto you. (Singing.) Can you lift your hands up and close your eyes? Search your heart. Examine your self. See if you are really in the faith. Faith by the hearing of the Word of God. Faith cometh by the hearing of the Word of God. See? And to really in the faith it means that you've got to be in the Word of God. (Singing.) Just one more time together. (Singing.) Let me encourage you before we turn the service over to someone to dismiss it, to turn to the Lord, get in line with the Lord, get your life straight with the Lord, get your mind off of the world, off of the flesh, off of the things of the flesh, stay away from the exuberance of the world, as to television and magazines and money and buying and selling, and desires and lust and all these kind of things because the end of the world is here. The end of the world. And again, the only way to know about the end of the world is to understand the revelation. There is no other way that you can know about it. But let me encourage you to do that because when you leave here you leave the voice of the Lord unless you listen very close for Him to keep talking with you. And you'll be right back in your old natural mind, and the natural gullible desires of your human being and you'll be in the same rut every time you leave until you come back unless you start hungering and thirsting after the things of God. And that means that you won't make it. When the end time comes as to the last hours you won't make it. There's no way that you can make it. It will catch you unawares. So, while they are playing the music here, singing this little chorus let's just lift our hands, close our eyes. We really don't need anybody to come down and dismiss, or to come up and dismiss. Let's just do it a little different tonight. You just lift your hands up, love the Lord. While they're playing on the organ, search your hearts and see if you're in the faith. And tonight as we leave you can consider__ When I leave you can consider yourself dismissed tonight, but right now just think on the Lord, just meditate for a few minutes and ask him to help you. See if you are really in the faith. The Bible said contend for the faith. And I've talked to you just a few minutes about faith tonight, a real simple message, something you really need.
