Faithless Generation

It's wonderful privilege for me to be here with Tony and be in the service. The last time we was with him, we was over in Thomaston, and I count it a real privilege to come down here and fellowship and especially to be here in Griffin. A lot of needy people in Griffin that really need the gospel of Jesus. And I feel that God has sent Tony here. I told him tonight, I said Tony, I really believe that God has sent you to this place in Griffin, and I feel like God is really wanting to do something for people here in Griffin, and its a much needed place. We were here one time, preached some under a tent with Brother Delmar Baldwin. He was here in Griffin and had some good services. And God has blessed us wherever we have gone. He has blessed us in our ministry. He's give us souls for our hire, and he has continued to lead us and guide us in the wonderful words of God. Just coming back from a long trip, it gave us a chance to really see the need. All the way down into Old Mexico and down over Los Angeles, California, seeing the need of people it really stirred our hearts. And I was listening to Tony tonight as he spoke about Africa, I believe it was Africa. is that right Tony? Africa, and how that the people received the word of God through a tract. We've been able to get a lot of literature into the country of Africa and not near as much as is needed or as we would like to see go into Africa, but I hope and pray to the good Lord that within the next few months, that we'll be going into Africa and into India or at least into one of them, perhaps both of them. We're looking forward to going into both of them. They've asked us to come and we're planning to do just exactly that. Now I'd like to read just a little bit to you if you've got your Bibles, you can read with me. Let's turn over into the book of St. Luke in the ninth chapter, the thirty-seventh verse of the ninth chapter of the book of St. Luke (St. Luke 9:37-44). I want you to notice over in the book of Matthew in the twenty-first chapter in the seventeenth verse: (St. Matthew 21:17-22). All right now, let's take a look here at another scripture. Turn over to the book of Mark the eleventh chapter and the twenty-second verse, reading from the twenty-first:( St. Mark 11:21-26). Now I want you to especially notice something here. First of all, Jesus uses the term 'faithless and perverse generation!. If you notice, he tied to things together there. First of all, he said that the generation that he was dealing with was a generation that was faithless or one that did not have any faith. This was the first charge that he placed against then. He said, Faithless generation. You know that's a sad thought to think that you would be faithless, isn't it that right? For an individual to accept the fact that they, he or she, is faithless, that they don't have any confidence in God or what hath wrought or God has said concerning humanity. That's a bad situation. And Jesus said, Ye are a faithless generation. You know I'm persuaded to believe that if God at that time diagnosed the case there as being a generation that was faithless, I am fully persuaded that this generation most certainly is a faithless generation. If the generation of that day really had admiration, respect for the prophets to some degree was considered to be faithless, how much more in the hour that we're living in can we say that people are faithless? How much more can God look at this generation and say, a faithless generation? When you see the youth of today roaming the streets, as I have seen them around the different parts of the world, you know we've been privileged to go all across the world as far as the land of midnight sun, down in South America, and all over the different parts of the islands, everywhere we go, we see the same thing. Here in Griffin, Georgia, I've seen the same thing that I saw over in the foreign countries. I've seen the youth prowling around at night like animals. I've seen them here in Griffin, Georgia, a hundreds of youth out in the streets at night with no goal whatsoever in mind, just drifting, everything, just anything, whatever may come by, seizing their hearts and taking control of their minds, though they're suppose to be the greatest educated people in all the world, the most educated people in all the world. They are suppose to have the greatest education, that is the people today, more than any other people that has ever lived, and America the greatest of all of them that's in the world today. But nevertheless, when you look here in America, you see the youth just going to nothing, just wasting away, drifting at night, diseases eat them up, their bodies torn down, their minds being wrecked and some of them going to mental institutions even at a young age, some of them becoming what they call vegetables. their bodies are ruined. Their virtues are gone. there's no hope for them whatsoever. You know people don't like to hear you say that, but I'm telling you that there is no hope for the youth of America. I don't believe that there is any hope for the youth of the entire world. Everywhere we've been it's the same, and here in America, I see no hope for the youth, not at all. Now there might be great orators. There might be philosophers, there might be medical aide that they offer to them. There might be plans of rehabilitation, there might be all kinds of things, institutions that they have erected for purpose to try to straighten out the youth, but I tell you tonight, there is no hope for the youth, and when I say that I mean aside from Jesus Christ and the word of the Lord. There is no word from any person. There is no hope from any person, there is no power, no money can not help the youth of today. You know we'd like to believe education that education is the answer, but I'll tell you the truth, education has done more harm to humanity than anything that they've ever got a hold of. Did you know that? Dope, money, whatever humanity has got a hold of has never done to them education has done to them. From the very moment that Adam and Eve turned away from faith in God, there in the garden, and began to lean to their own understanding and meddle around with the tree of knowledge to get an education from that time on, it's just been one great mess throughout the entire world down through the generation of times. Isn't that right? That's what's causing the problem. When people begin to learn and begin to understand, they begin to feel they don't need any advice. Children years ago, youth, they depended upon their elders and upon the ancient for the Bible said, Wisdom is with the elders, with the ancient, that they've had experience, and they depended upon them, until some professor come along and he told them they didn't have to do that because the were more brilliant you know and they understand more, he says, you understand more than your parents and they don't know this is a modern generation. I want you to know that's a lying spirit of Satan. When teachers tell you things like that, that is a lying spirit. It takes experience. You've got to have some kind of experience, just having a head full of knowledge won't do that. It takes experience. It doesn't matter what you've learned, you've got have some experience. Isn't that right? I remember in the state of Nebraska years ago, I talked to a man that was over a great operation there. And I went in through a chain of command just to get to talk to him. And he was telling me how that he was over this operation and I was in admiration of him. I said, My what great understanding and knowledge you must possess. He said, no, it's to contrary. He said, They had a man that processed, they put in college, they gave how but when he came here he couldn't handle the operation. I said, Well why was that? He said, Because he did not know anything about the feelings of humanity. He has never had any experience. He said, But I was partakers of their infirmities. I had worked with them, and I'd come up through the chain of command and I knew how to respect it, I knew how to work with people and today I'm over the whole thing, and they sent him on his way. I said that to say this, a head full of knowledge doesn't get the job done. It takes some experience and even Solomon said, With wisdom get some understanding, get some understanding. We need some understanding folks. You know what's wrong with wrong with the youth today? They need some understanding. They don't need any knowledge. They've got plenty of knowledge. They can tell you far it is to the sun. How far it is to the moon, but what they need is some understanding. See God gives some understanding. Solomon prayed to God, not for knowledge; but he said, Heavenly Father, give me an understanding heart. and the Bible said, The great wisdom of Solomon was so mighty in his day. What we need is an understanding heart. Did you know the Bible teaches that all of them that are born of Christ Jesus are of a good understanding. How many of you that's the Bible? All of the them that are of a good understanding, those are they that are born of Jesus Christ. People that are not born of God, do not have a good understanding. It doesn't matter how great they are in knowledge and education, they do not have a good understanding. Now you say, Brother Pike, you don't have the right to say that. I certainly do. I've talked to professors. I've talked to bankers. I've talked to people in America. I've talked to people in the islands. I've to people in the foreign fields. I've talked to great dignitaries and I have never found one that a good understanding unless they knew Jesus, not one, not one. So then understanding doesn't come from education. Understanding comes from God. I say this a lot of times and it, you know it sounds a little comical, but really, Im trying to be funny. Im telling you the truth. People, until they are born of God or unless they are of God, and unless they know God, they are nothing more than beast, and some of them the Bible teaches, brute beast made to be taken and burned. Isn't that right? Now, I've, this before, you take a beast, you take a hog, you know what you have to do to him? You have to train him, isn't that right? You have to train him to give, just say, give me your paw. Do this. Roll over. Sit up. You have to train him. Because that's all he knows. That's what education is for. It is for people that are beasts out there that don't have God, that don't have understanding, that have to be taught to do the things that they do. that's all al they know. You get them away from those kind of things and they don't know anything. They can't even find their way. I tell you what you do. Take a person that is gifted, that has a talent in music, let them sit down at a piano and let them begin to play and sing or strum on a guitar. It's so beautiful, so beautiful, but take a person that doesn't have the talent, that learned it by note, and take the sheet music and see if they can play at all. They can't do it. You know why? Because they don't have that understanding. They don't have that inbred talent. they don't have that God-inspiration that you and I have. I feel that inspiration right now. Did you know that? I feel the great life of God and that's right here tonight. I can feel the Holy Spirit right here present because we are alive with God's spirit. And that makes all the difference in the world now doesn't it? Makes all the difference in the world. So then we are alive from the dead. You know, it is a great thing children of God to be able to understand the Holy Spirit and feel the quickening of God's presence. I read here tonight concerning a "faithless generation". Why are they faithless? Why is that the generation of today is faithless? Why is it that they were faithless then? It's for the same reason as today. People are faithless today because they don't know Jesus. They don't know God. They don't know the Holy Spirit. They've never come in contact with the reality of this life. they don't understand. That's why they are faithless, but, let's you and I go to them and tell them the wonderful things of Jesus. But Brother Pike, they won't listen. They will listen if they are the elect of God. If they're God's elect they will listen. It might take a little patience. It might take a little love and a little understanding, but it took that with me too. Somebody had to be patient with me. Somebody had to love me. Somebody had to care for me before I came to understand, but a little patience and a little love and a little understanding and the first news you know, you'll have the angels in heaven rejoicing, because the Bible said, the angels in heaven rejoiced over one soul coming to repentance rather than over ninety-nine that needs no repentance. Isn't that right? You can start a revival in heaven. How many of you tonight would like to start a revival in heaven? Somebody would say, if I could just get the crowd Brother Pike? I'll tell you tonight, if you'll find one soul tonight. get one soul right with God, you'll start a jubilee and a revival in heaven. hallelujah! Somebody say, Hallelujah! Praise God! So then it is a true fact that we don't have to be a faithless generation. I feel faith here. I feel faith here. Why do we have a faithless generation? Why can't we be a faithful generation? We don't have to be a faithless generation. You know there is something that is going to happen in the day that we're living in and that is God is going to reveal to those that are faithful and those that love him, He's going to reveal to them who they are, and what they are, and where they are, and I'll tell you, you talk about a jubilee, you talk about a revival, oh my brother, sister, when you really truly come to the place that you know who you are and how secure that you are, you say Brother Pike, I've heard the gospel all down through the years. I know! I tell you, you don't know because God hasn't given it back through the years. He saved it for this generation right here. this generation is the one that's going to find out who they are and what they are and their going to find out about their benefits and about their securities, and you talk about faith, you know when you know certain things, and you know that those certain things are right, you can't help but believe in that. And I'll tell you what when you begin to believe in that then something begins to happen, did you know that? Jesus said, A faithless generation. Did you know today we are different altogether from the past generations so far as out development now, we're no different other than, you the sense that we're still people, but we're so different in the sense of our development and our discovery. You know that scientists, or knowledge falsely so called. They have advanced in the natural, isn't that right? They can tell you how far it is to the moon and the sun and Jupiter and all those places, but I wonder during all this time, has the christians done anything? You know, I wonder now, you know, people that are out yonder in the scientific side of life, they look at the church of God, and the church people as being a bunch of ignoramus that denies everything, that doesn't know anything, and that hasn't progressed any at all. But oh my brother, sister, you know it's no wonder Jesus said, They're blind and cannot see afar off. It's no wonder that God spoke of those people as being in darkness, and that the darkness has blinded their eyes. Such great outstanding progress, that's in the church of today, it's so fantastic until eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of men at anytime these wonderful, fantastic things that God has in store for them that love him, and God hath begin to reveal it unto us by his Spirit. Though it's hid from the eyes of the wise and og the prudent, isn't that right? You don't get it by study. The Bible said, It is a abundantly above all that you can ask or even think. this great wonderful thing of God, it is abundantly above all human concept. You can't think to that realm. You can't enter into that dimension. You can't get high enough in your understanding as long as you're out in the world out there with the intellectual reasoning. You can't get high enough to into the realm where God has great treasures hid. But you say, Brother Pike what does that mean to us? The Bible said, Now is made known to the church the manifold wisdom of God. Even in the heavenly places, and Gad has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Now somebody would say, Well I've heard that. I know that. But do you really know that? Have you really heard it? Have you really understood that? What does God mean by that? That God hath blessed us all with spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus? You say, Well Brother Pike, what that means is that God has made us to sit together in these heavenly places, and God has given us a spiritual blessing and a spiritual outpouring of his Spirit. It is certainly doesn't mean that at all. You know it's true that God has poured out of his spirit upon all flesh, and it's true that God has blessed us with all these wonderful things, but brother when God speaks of blessing you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that means that you didn't have anything to do with it, that you did not have anything to do with it, that you still don't have anything to do with it, and you cannot have anything to do with it, that God did it all in Christ Jesus and gave it to you freely through Christ and you are partakers eternally pf the great benefits of God. He did it all in Christ Jesus. For the Bible said, God predestinated us in Christ before the world ever was, before the foundation of the world was ever laid, he chose us in Jesus Christ. And then Paul the Apostle that received the revelation of Jesus Christ, he made the statement, he said, God hath revealed unto me the mystery of his will, the mystery of his will. Somebody would say now, Brother Pike, what do you mean by the mystery of his will? When you say the mystery of the will of God, it means that before the world ever was, God had a plan. God had a purpose. God had a will, and God purposed within himself what He was going to do, and he was going to do it all by his spirit, by his power, by his might, and by the son of God, Jesus Christ. He purposed all of this, planned all of this, set everything forth in such a wonderful manner. God did that, and then when this great apostle Paul came along, God revealed to him all of those thoughts that God had thought. He revealed to him all of his purpose and revealed to him all of his plans that he had purposed in Jesus Christ. I see right now that some of you are not seeing that. Now I know, I know that you're not seeing that, but now I want you to think on it. God in Christ Jesus, the Bible says, that we are his workmanship, not our works. Paul said, It's not of works lest ye should boast. But we are the workmanship of God, that we hath wrought in Christ by what he did through his works as God was made manifest in a human form and walked this earth. How many of you understand what I'm saying? We are God's workmanship unto good works in Christ Jesus. Somebody would say, Well Brother Pike, I don't do all the works you're talking about. He wasn't talking about that. He was talking about all the good works he's done on your behalf. He purposed in Christ all of these good works He done in your behalf. He purposed in Christ all of these good works, and we became God's finished product, God's workmanship, the predestined of God, the justified of God, the sanctified of God and the glorified of God, all in Christ Jesus, and we didn't have a thing to do with it, not anything. And then at that time, when God sent forth his son in the fullness of time, born of a woman, made under the law, He made known the mystery of His will. He made known all of the different, all these great wonderful different things that he had proposed toward humanity, that is to say the church, the children of God, those that would accept by faith this wonderful thing, and He saw who would and who would not. God purposed this in Christ Jesus. You know we worry about sinning. We worry about sinning. Isn't that right? People have down through the years worried about sinning, the church you know. The world doesn't worry about sinning, but the church has worried about sinning. And because they have been so disturbed over sinning, over transgressing the ways of God, they've not been able to do anything for God in the sense of having real staunch, settled faith. Their faith has been up, and their faith has been down, and their faith has been real wishy-washy. This is what's wrong with the youth of today. Did you know that? The youth of today, they've watched the church as the church has moved along, and the church has professed one thing and they've seen them do another, and the church hasn't really understood themselves because they've been like little children, and therefore the youth of the world, they're all mixed up about this thing, but God is going to straighten it out. God's going to explain the thing. And then what a great, beautiful thing it's going to be. For the Bible said, all nations shall say, we have forgotten our God. Let us repent of our sins and go up to the house of God that he night teach is and make known to us His ways. Oh what a beautiful thing it is the church. When you think about the church, the church is not some struggling, straggling, person that is hoping and going to miss the whole thing perhaps. That's not the state of the church. It's not some person that's righteous today and wrong tomorrow. It's not some people that have the favor of God if they do real good, and lose the favor of God over night if they don't ( Tape Turned Over )... day of the Lord that hath never sinned one time, never from their birth, never sinned in the sight of God, the church is somebody that can never sin as long as long as they live in this world, they'll never sin, not one time will they ever sin. They'll never sin. For we are God's workmanship in Christ. We've been predestinated. We've been perfected forever. We've been perfected forever. We've been justified. We've been sanctified. We've been glorified by the works of God in Christ Jesus. Brother, when you believe that, that's faith. You won't be a faithless generation, because you'll believe in a finished work of Jesus Christ. My God, When you start believing like that, you can feel the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah! It's like when Peter stood there and he healed the man at the gate called " Beautiful ", the man jumped up and began to run and praise the Lord, and the people began to look on Peter. Peter said, Why look ye so earnestly upon us, as though we did this by our power. He said, This is not man's power. This is not something we've conjured up. This is not something that we just happen to strike it lucky on because his legs work, you know just because we scared him a little bit or shook him up a little bit, and he got his tight joints loosed. He said, This is the power of God! This is the supernatural work of christ! And he said, We did not do this by our own holiness. Our works of righteousness has nothing to do with this. Peter said, I did not fast. I did not pray. I did not do anything righteous that this man should walk, But this is by his faith that he had in the son of God and the righteousness of God and the promises of God. Said, by this man is walking and he's whole. My brother, sister, let me tell you something, just as long as you're trying to figure out how you're going to get holy so that you can get the blessings of God and the benefits of God and the healing of God, that's just how long the devil is going to bind you. Just as long as you feel that you're up today and down tomorrow, and that you sinned the day before yesterday and by the skin of your teeth you finally made it through today, but you're so afraid you'll sin tomorrow and going to hell the day after, just as long as you feel that way, you'll never have faith in God, nor conviction in God, nor any help from God because you're wavering to and fro. Jesus said, Faithless Generation. The man that wavereth, let him not think that he should receive anything from God, not anything. Is that right? What kind of faith do I need? I need that kind of faith where Jesus said, Whatever I say. Now I listen. Whatever I say, I can have. I need the kind of faith that in my heart I don't waver. I don't waver. Now look, as long as Im dependent on me, Im going to waver. How many of you know that? Somebody says, That good old soul. She never wavers. Old Brother Pike, he's a holy man. He doesn't waver. My brother and sister, we're up and down like a, like a yo-yo, and we're in and out like a swing. You say, Brother Pike, you mean to tell me that you sin like that. Why I don't sin at all. Somebody say, I love Jesus! I didn't say anything about sinning. The Bible didn't say anything about me praying and asking God for forgiveness for my sins. The Bible said, I was to pray and ask God to forgive my trespasses. Somebody say, Amen. Father, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Is that right? Somebody said, No what he meant Brother Pike, was forgive us our sins. Who has the right to say, Father, when he is a sinner? Come on. The Bible said, No man can call me Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Brother, if you don't have the Holy Spirit, he's not your father, and he's not your Lord. How are you going to say, Father? But when you have God's spirit, you can say, Father, forgive me my trespasses. I love you Jesus. You know I wouldn't hurt your feelings. I wouldn't do anything contrary to you God. Hallelujah! Isn't that right? The Bible said, Know ye not that the liar, the fornicator, the cheat, the robber, the swindler, all of these people will have their part in the lake of fire, isn't that right? You say, Well Brother Pike, what about the church members that do that? Them church members that do that are going to hell! Isn't that right? But what about all them christians that do that? I never met one that ever done that. Somebody say, I love Jesus! The Bible says, he that is born of God cannot sin. It didn't say, he might not sin, now did it? It didn't say, if he does real good, he won't sin. It said, he cannot sin because he is born of God. How could anything born of God sin? There is no sin in God. You know the nature of a lion, produces the lion; a nature of a dog produces the nature of a dog; the nature of God produces gods. Jesus says, ye are gods. That's the Bible. Now can God sin? Is there any part of God that's sinful? The Bible said, we are partakers of the divine nature of Jesus Christ. Paul said, I am persuaded to believe that which I have committed unto Him, God is able to keep against that great day. And the Bible said, He that is born of God, he keepeth himself. And the Bible said, The evil one toucheth him not. Now I want you to explain to me now, how is it that you sin if the evil one never touches you? Somebody say, I love Jesus! Am I talking about the Bible, Brother Tony? All right, if he keepeth himself and the evil one toucheth him not, can he then sin? My brother, sister, there is no way. The Bible said, As many as was baptized into the death of the Lord Jesus Christ is dead to sin. They are dead. Does the law have any control over a man if that man is dead? As long as he lives, the law of Griffin, Georgia can pounce upon him, isn't that right? But if the man is dead and in the grave, what can the law do with him? Ye are dead to the law by the body of Jesus, baptized into his death, the Bible said. As many as have been baptized into Christ, they've put on Christ. All of your sins are behind you. And the Bible said, Christ hath abolished death in his flesh. And he done away with the keeping of commandments and ordinances which is the enmity of the middle wall of partition that stood between you and your rejoicing and happiness and faith and eternal life in God. It is forever gone. You say, Brother Pike, what are you talking about? I'm talking about rapturing faith. Glory to God! When the saints of God begin blemish, Jesus is going to come back. How many of you know that? The Bible said, He's coming back after a church without spot, wrinkle and blemish. And did you know the Bible said, God is set in the body of a five-fold ministry for the perfecting of the saints of God. Isn't that right? Then Paul said, We wish this even the perfecting og your believing in what we're telling you, that is your faith. Isn't that right? You say, Can that be my righteousness? The Bible said, Abraham's faith was imputed unto him for righteousness. Isn't that right? Shut up unto the law now, shut up unto the law unto the faith of Jesus Christ which after Calvary should be revealed. Is that right? The faith of Jesus Christ by which ye are sanctified and you made partakers of his faith, not your faith; but his faith simply believing, having confidence or accepting that God had to say about it. Glory to God! Isn't that right? The Bible said, His faith by which ye are sanctified. Christ did it all. Can you praise the Lord? That's what makes us praise God! It's because Christ did it all for us! Glory to God! If I've got to do it, why should I praise Jesus? I praise Jesus because I don't have to do it, because Jesus did it all for me. Somebody say, I love Jesus! Hallelujah! Glory to God! Brother, sister don't you understand what I am saying? Somebody said, I'm so weary and tired, all the praise and joy Brother Pike is gone out of the church. No wonder, it's no wonder those Jews drug along like they had a thousand chains on them, trying to fast, trying to pray, trying to please God. How could they say, GLory to God? How could they say, I love you because you've been good to me? All they could say, You've yoked me down with everything you could put on me. But Christ took it all off! Glory to God! We're free from the bondage of sin. We can rejoice in that, and praise God in that because Jesus did it beloved friend. Oh, you say, Brother Pike, I wish I could believe that. Oh faithless generation why can't you believe that? Faith in the word, You say, but Brother Pike I have own faith. Brother, sister, there is no faith except faith in the word. I want to tell you tonight, believing is not faith. Now believing is not faith, because justification comes by faith. Isn't that right? The Bible said, You believe that there's one God. You do well. The devil believes that to, but there's no justification for the devil, now is there? So then that's not the faith. For by faith God purifies our heart. Then what is faith? If believing is not faith? Believing in God's word, that's faith. Faith cometh by hearing of the word of God. It's what God's word says about it, that's faith. If you believe what God said about it. You know, you depart from the church, you leave the church, somebody say, Well you departed from the faith. You leave some of the denominational walks of life of today, they say, Well, you departed from the faith. that's not true. See, the Bible said in the last days some will depart from the faith, but faith is the word of God. Some will deny the word of God. That's denying the faith. Turning away from some doctrine of some church of something that you believed all your life, that isn't denying the faith. Some you need to deny that. Some of it's old wives fables. You said, but my grandmother Brother Pike, I know, I had a grandmother too. She was a fine woman, but she had a lot of old wives fables mixed up with her belief. But glory be to God. I'm thankful for what food she did tell me. But I found the book. Hallelujah! I found something from God. What will this do to the church? What will it do? Oh my brother, sister, it will bring them to life again. How could you do anything but praise somebody who did everything for you? When you stumble, when you stagger, when you're trying to do your best, when that old condemnation sweeps over you, when that old heartache comes and that sorrow and the devil hammers you and the sunshine is hid by the clouds, and a voice says, You're gone. You're gone. You sinned. You lost out. God doesn't love you. You ever heard the devil talking to you like that? Why you know you're just an old devil. Isn't that right? Condemnation well up in your heart, and you say, Well my God, I done all I knew to do. Ah, you old devil. You know you don't feel like no saint. And sure enough you don't. Cause the Bible said, Within my body, Paul said, that is in my flesh dwelleth no good thing. Said, the devil's in there and he's always ripping and a snorting. But glory be to God, Jesus planted him. Did you know that? In his flesh, he abolished death and planted the devil and done away with him. Took him down into the deep pits, isn't that right? Did you know that Jesus did it all, and then the devil's got you under condemnation and like the song says, you know the sun's coming up in the morning, how many ever heard that? The song says, I battled the devil all day through. But at sun down I sang the victory songs. Isn't that right? Because God sent me reinforcements. Glory to God! You got some reinforcements tonight. Did you know that? How many of you believe God gives his angels charge concerning us? Where two or three are gathered together, God said his angels would be in the midst. I feel him here, don't you? Hallelujah! We can praise God tonight and glorify the name of Jesus tonight because we are free from sin! Glory to God folks, let's get away from this thing of waiting to get free from sin. I want you to know you're free from sin tonight. You're not free from one revival to another. You're free from sin forever! And you cannot sin because you're born of God. You are God's children tonight. Hallelujah! Put the devil under your feet and throw your hand in the air and holler hallelujah! Glory to the name of Jesus! The son of God, you did it all! Hallelujah! You did it all! Praise God! Can you believe that tonight? Somebody would say, Now Brother Pike after I struggled all these many years living holy and you mess everything up by giving the glory to God. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! That's why the devil makes you feel like an old devil when he talks to you, the flesh trying to take the credit. He knows he's in there, and he knows what your doing. But I'll tell you what, if you'll quit giving that flesh the credit and you'll give credit to God of glory, you'll be blessed and you'll believe. How can you believe in you? I can't believe in me. Somebody said, Well Im different from everybody else. I know, we all think we are, don't we? The Bible said, every man's ways is right in his own eyes. Isn't that right? You know everybody feels they're so good and they wish that other fellow would do as good as they're doing. You love Jesus? Hallelujah! Right in his own eyes. Isn't that right? Every person, for there is a way that seemeth right unto man. But I want you to listen to this, and you'll probably draw back a little on me, but listen now. The Bible said, that we should have no confidence in our mother, our daddy either, our son and daughter either, the president either, the preacher either. I got some amens here. Now somebody said, Now wait a minute Brother Pike. Let me tell you something, does the Bible sat that we are they that have no confidence in the flesh? Is your daddy flesh, is your mother flesh, your son flesh, is the preacher flesh? It said, We are they that have no confidence in them. You say, Brother Pike, you mean I shouldn't love my daddy, and my mother? You should love them with all your heart, but put your confidence in God. Somebody said, Well the reason Im not living a christian life is because of that person over yonder, they cut me to my heart Brother Pike, I depended on them and I looked to them. That's where you made the mistake. See, they didn't die at Calvary. They didn't give you your salvation. They wasn't the one who showed you the way. God did that. I'll tell you what, if you'll put your confidence in God and take all of your confidences out of everybody from now on, you'll never be disappointed no more as long as you live. Somebody say, I love Jesus! You'll live a victorious overcoming life, because God will see that you live it. Oh I feel the Holy Ghost don't you? Hallelujah! I'm talking about rapturing faith and I'm going to say this and close, because we're just, just beginning to get started, but let me say this tonight in closing, You know what? Jesus is coming back after a church without spot, without wrinkle and without blemish, Now isn't that right? Somebody would say, Brother Pike, that's what I'm working for. One of these days I'm going to get there. I'll tell you what if Jesus didn't do it at Calvary, you'll never make it. If Jesus didn't do it at Calvary you'll never make it. The Bible said, it is not the putting away og the filth of the flesh that saves a man, is that right? But it says, the answer, it is the answer of a good conscience towards God. I s that right? By the Holy Ghost, by the Spirit of God, isn't that right? If I can believe in the works of Jesus Christ and he, if I can believe in Him that justifieth the ungodly, the scripture says that, then I can have a clear conscience. If I can have a clear conscience then faith will come to my heart and purify my heart thus I am saved from death. Is that right? So then tonight I am not saved by the putting away of the filth of the flesh? Somebody would say, Brother Pike, do you mean that we should not put away the filth of the flesh? The Bible said, Let every one that nameth the name of Jesus Christ depart from iniquity. How could you do anything but be holy and godly and pure, having the nature of the divine Father within you. But I'll tell you again, that isn't what saves you is by trying to do good works. It's just the fact that when you're filled with the Holy Ghost, there isn't anything coming out but good works. I'll tell you when yo got an orange tree, there isn't nothing coming out but the nature to produce oranges, did you know that? That's right. The only way you can get anything else in there is to graft it in wild by nature, and we don't mess with them kind of things. Is that right? So then it is a fact that bitter water and good water doesn't come forth from the same fountain. If you are a fountain of God, beloved friend, you are clean and holy and just and pure. You might stumble and you might stagger and you might make mistakes in trying to do right, but I want you to know one thing, there's not one spot, not one blemish, not one ought, marked up against you in the sight of God. Every trespass, every stumbling, every wrong that you ever did, in that you was trying to do right, there is no record of it in heaven. There is not one mark against you. There is not one blemish and God is coming back after a church without spot, wrinkle, or blemish. Is that right? Now I want to ask you this question now, If the Lord is coming back after a bride without spot, wrinkle or blemish is He coming after a bride that's had all kind og spot's, wrinkle and blemishes and just before His coming, she's going to get cleaned up from them? Who'd want a wife like that? No, no, He isn't coming back after a church like that. He is coming after a church that never did have any of those spots and blemishes. I want you to know that his bride is a lady, And the Bible calls her the elect lady. She hath never had a spot, never a blemish, never at any time in her life, never. Somebody would say, Well, Brother Pike, now what does the Bible mean when it says, if any man say I have no sin, isn't that right? Somebody would say, I have no sin. Aha, aha, be careful now Brother Pike. If any man say, I have no sin, then see, you done got your foot into it there. Isn't that what the Bible said. It is true, the Bible said, if any man say that he hath not sinned, we've all come short of the glory of God. Isn't that right? When did it happen? Before we ever became a believer, Isn't that right? Did you know the same John that said that, turned right around and said, He that is borned of God cannot sin? The same one that said that, said, He that is born of God cannot sin. Now you say Well, Brother Pike, back here on the other, you say, we all sinned before we came to the knowledge of the truth. That's true. We all sinned. But did you know the Bible said, Where there is no knowledge of sin there is no sin there is no judgment of God imputed ot sin is not imputed. Did you know that before you came to the knowledge of right and wrong that you were guilty of exactly nothing? Did you know that? You love Jesus? All right let's look at it for just a minute and I'm going to close in just a minute now. If we went to court now, and we had a court session and we was going to prove whether a person was guilty or not, what would we do? Somebody would say, You know you're not guilty. I'm letting you off. Now I know you're guilty but we're going to let you off because you're nor guilty. Now could that, would that make sense? No sir. That wouldn't make sense. We have a court session to prove whether he is guilty or not. If we prove he's not guilty then he's not guilty. Isn't that right? It means he is not guilty. It doesn't matter if he went to court, he's not guilty. Isn't that right? God proved by Christ Jesus that we were not guilty. We were not guilty. In the sight of God, we've never been guilty, because we are his workmanship in God chosen in Christ before the world ever was. Are you following me now? Chosen in God that we might be holy and blameless in his sight all the days of our life. So then what we did before our conversion is not charged against us. Is that right? All right, give me just a few more words here and then we'll let you go. Some of the little ones are getting restless. And it gets hot and uncomfortable for them. All right now, are we clean in the sight of God tonight? Let me close by saying this because there's so many other things I'd like to say. Are we clean in the sight of God tonight? Are we? Are we clean because we tried to clean or are we clean because he cleansed us? Because he cleansed us. Is that right? Is His blood of such caliber that it can cleanse me for today but it doesn't keep me clean for tomorrow? Am I clean everyday? The Bible says, Now listen, that God hath perfected for how long? Forever. See God hath made us perfect how long? Now somebody you know the devil he's got a little favorite saying, a little religious saying, nobody is perfect. You know he'll chew a little cud, and he'll spit a little bit, and he'll, he'll suck on a weed and he'll do this and he'll do that, and when you try to talk about real, godly holiness, there isn't nobody perfect, now you know that? And the Bible said, Noah was a perfect man. Jesus was a perfect man. The Bible teaches, that men all down through the years like Noah and like Abraham and like Elijah, all those men were perfect men. They were perfect men. And the Bible said, Everyone that be perfect shall be as his master. And the Bible says God hath made perfect forever them that are sanctified. How many of you are sanctified tonight? You mean all of you are telling me that you're perfect? Is that right? How many of yo believe that you're perfect tonight? Let me see your hands. Sure your perfect, for the Bible said God has done the perfecting. He hath perfected forever, justified, sanctified, and you know we keep talking about waiting for glorification, the Bible said, He hath glorified us. Now do you think He glorified a church that had spots and wrinkles? How many of you believe He glorified a church that had spots and wrinkles? My brother, sister, He glorified a church that didn't have spots or wrinkles. Oh glory be to God! Jesus, here we are again. You did it all. Hallelujah! Here we are again praising you because you did it all. Somebody say, I love Jesus! He perfected forever. He sanctified, He justified, He predestinated, He glorified. You say, Well then what in the world are we waiting for? We're just waiting to say, even so come Lord Jesus. Can you? The Bible said, Them that love His appearing, can you say, Even so come Lord Jesus? Don't you feel clean all over? Oh Hallelujah! Having cleansed us by the washing of regeneration. Made us clean and holy. I just feel so clean and holy all because he done it. I fell like speaking in tongues, don't you? I fell the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah! Are you clean tonight? Clean and holy by the blood of the son of God. That makes me feel better. Just knowing it, I feel good all over. Glory to God! Hallelujah! How many of you feel like a saint tonight? I wonder where the devil is. I got a feeling he left from here. He didn't like our conversation, so he left from here. Let's give the Lord a hand clap, can you? Hallelujah! Can you say hallelujah? The devil doesn't like our meeting at all. The song said, I'm feeling so much better. Let's go on and on talking about this good old way. Jesus did it all! Jesus did it all! Hallelujah! Jesus did it all! Tell him you love him tonight, can you? Hallelujah!
