Limiting The Unlimited
As you read this tract, you may think this to be a strange title, but do you know that even though God is the unlimited God, yet you as an individual can limit God in your life? God is, to each individual, just what we make Him. We can enlarge God in our lives by faith in His unlimited ability until nothing shall be impossible unto us. On the other hand, you can minimize God in your life until you become bound by every evil power Satan has, such as fear, poverty, sickness, or any of the multiplied evil devices he uses on people.
One of the major things we need to know about Satan is that he is a defeated foe to the Christians if they will use their faith. The Bible says to resist the devil and he will flee from you. Jesus defeated Satan at Calvary and made an open show of him. The Scriptures tell us that Christ has destroyed him (Satan) who had the power of death.
There are no devils to Christians. You believe Satan into power by faith in reverse (unbelief). What we are to do is to reckon ourselves to be dead unto sin and sickness by the body of Jesus on the tree, and alive unto righteousness, health, and prosperity in Christ by the resurrection of Jesus. We must keep in remembrance that the inner man is already perfected by grace, but the outer man has not recognized (wit) his redemption yet, so far as glorification is concerned, which is the inward being made manifest in the outer. The inner man is in heaven, hid with Christ in God whom the heavens have received until the restoration of all things. This means the outer man is dead by Christ’s dead body, but made alive again in the resurrection by the living body of Christ. There is a continual warfare between the inner man, who is redeemed, and the outer man, who has not claimed his redemption.
Nothing that takes place in our lives concerning wrongs or mistakes can defile us because our will to sin and to do wrong has been removed. So, we are free from sin. The Scriptures tell us that he who is born of God cannot sin. Remember, there was no sickness until sin entered into the life of man in the garden. Since then, man has been sick" but if now we cannot sin, then sickness is defeated, and the only way that Satan can make us sick is through our unbelief in the cleansing blood of Christ. If we do not believe God’s Word of promise, then the atonement does not apply to us. He said that many among you are sickly, and some have fallen asleep because they have failed to discern the body of Christ. They limited Him by their unbelief so that He could not do what He wanted to do for them.
Do you see it? God wanted to heal them and bless them, but because of their evil practices, condemnation came into their hearts, and they were cut off from the blessings of God’s kingdom. Oh my! Just look at the way Eve got left out of the good things of God. He said in His Word, “Thine iniquities have separated between you and your God, and hath kept you back from the good things of God.” He said to Moses, “Oh, that My people would keep My ordinances, so that it might be well with them and their children all the days of their lives!” He said to Job, “Keep My ordinances, that you might spend your days in blessings, health, and prosperity.” Moses said to choose the blessing or the curse. Another writer said that if we would see long life and good days, to refrain our lips from speaking evil and that we speak no guile. Another writer declared, “Make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way, but let it rather be healed.”
David exhorts, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases.” Again, he said, “I sought the Lord and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears.” The Bible said that God has given us all things that pertain unto life: health, happiness, prosperity, and blessings. Paul said, “All are yours and ye are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.” Hallelujah! Thank God for such a Savior! Let’s believe together and thank God for that which He has already given us in our spirits, and enjoy it by making it manifest in our bodies by faith!
