One Little Candle

1. Let us so live a life without vanity and strife,

As we walk along life’s way,

So that others may see, the Christ in you and me,

Giving light friend from day unto day.

2. With Him we can walk, and with Him we can talk,

And close by His side we can stay,

So that in Him we’ll be found, when the darkness comes around,

Beloved we will not lose our way.

3. Just let me live one day for Jesus,

So that all may see as I go my way,

For a life with the Savior, whenever presented,

Is worth more than all the words you can say.

Chorus:

I’d rather light one little candle,

Than to curse the darkness,

That by it, others may find their way,

For if we light enough little candles,

All the darkness will vanish,

Together we can turn the night into day.
