I Shall Not Want

1. The Lord is my shepherd,

And I shall not want,

Worldly pleasure don’t thrill me any more,

I lie down in green pastures,

By still waters I walk,

For my heart has found the one that I adore.

2. Through the valley of the shadows,

He walks by my side,

And He’ll never leave me alone,

When the nights dark and stormy,

He’s my friend and my guide,

He’s my protection and He leads me on.

3. Through the chambers of despair,

For me He walked there,

Through the terrors of hell’s raging foam,

He’ll never let me go,

To those regions below,

Heavenly places He has made for my home.

4. On the raging sea of life,

To contrary winds of strife,

He’s the master wherever He walks,

And from Calvary’s rugged hill,

He gently whispers peace be still,

He’s my shepherd and I shall not want.

Chorus:

Jesus is my Savior, I shall not be moved,

In His love and favor, I shall not be moved,

Just like a tree that’s planted by the waters,

Lord I shall not be moved.
