Ever Since Jesus Came

1. I wandered down a lonely road,

With no one by my side,

I had no one to hold my hand,

I could not find a guide,

But one day I met a man,

He took away my shame,

And I’m feeling so much better,

Ever since Jesus came.

2. Now if you’re feeling weary, friend,

I’ll tell you what to do,

Just look away to Calvary,

And He will see you through,

He died upon that rugged tree,

In death to take your place,

To give to you eternal life,

To save your from disgrace.

Chorus:

Oh, hallelujah, I’m so glad that Jesus came,

Oh, hallelujah, oh, glory to His name,

Oh, hallelujah I’m free from sin and shame,

And I’m feeling so much better,

Ever since Jesus came.
