1. Someone will have a birthday,

I wonder if you know who,

The Lord of lords and the King of kings,

He’s been so good to you.

There’ll be celebrating, gonna be celebrating,

For soon it will be Christmas day.

2. A babe born in a manger,

We’ll celebrate His fame,

The fairest of ten thousand,

King Jesus is His name.

There’ll be celebrating, gonna be celebrating,

For soon it will be Christmas day.

3. Perhaps there’ll be some snowflakes,

To fall upon the ground,

To bring the Christmas spirit,

We’ll hear those jolly sounds.

There’ll be celebrating, gonna be celebrating,

For soon it will be Christmas day.

4. I know the herald angels,

Will join in as we sing,

We’ll shout the hallelujahs,

His promise to proclaim.

There’ll be celebrating, gonna be celebrating,

For soon it will be Christmas day.

5. ‘Twill be a day of greetings,

Friend will unite with friends,

Friendship and old acquaintance,

Will be renewed again.

There’ll be celebrating, gonna be celebrating,

For soon it will be Christmas day.

6. Let’s do away with Santa Claus,

And put the Bible in,

And don’t lie to your children,

You know that it’s a sin.

There’ll be celebrating, gonna be celebrating,

For soon it will be Christmas day.

Chorus:

There’s candles in the windows,

Decorations on the doors,

There’s lights upon the Christmas tree,

It’s just a few days more,

There’ll be celebrating, gonna be celebrating,

For soon it will be Christmas day.
