The Body Of Christ
Jesus said, through the mouth of Paul the apostle, “You are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” The Old Testament tells of Joseph’s coat of many colors that was given him by his father. Joseph loved it very much. But, then came the day, men stripped Joseph of his coat, threw him to the beasts, and left him in the hands of cruel men. The blood of a lamb was placed on the coat to appease the father’s wrath.
The body of Jesus, His flesh, which was the sacrificed Lamb, hung on the cross. The blood ran down the body of Christ for the sin of many nations, for many races and colors. The coat of the Spirit was removed from the cross and taken to the presence of the Father to appease His wrath to show that some wild beast, such as Satan, had taken the life to let the brethren go free.
Brother, the thieves gambled over the coat of Jesus at the foot of the cross, but it had no seam. They could not divide it, and today it is the same. Satan in man, a thief and a robber, seeks to divide the body of Christ, the church, up into denominations, but the body of Christ is not divided. It’s robe of human flesh of all races and colors has the blood on it, and in that day, we will be one and in Him, and we will also be free of sin because of His blood. Come, let us worship together and serve God in the beauty of holiness.
The life is in the blood, so to have life you must have the blood. The church is the body of the Word, which is God, the head. All others will be rejected; not many churches, but one church, His body. So be a part of it, not that man puts you in or takes you out: God adds unto the church daily, such as should be saved.
