Death, The Enemy Of God

We want to remind you again, that death is the enemy of God. It is the thief which comes to rob, steal, kill and destroy; but God gives life more abundantly. What does Satan steal? He steals your faith, first of all, by seducing spirits, which come through manmade dogmas, ideas, and opinions, and also thoughts which are present in the body. These thoughts, which are gendered in your spirit, are constituted by things you have heard from others, causing feelings in the human body which take advantage over you. Their advantage is great in bridling your body by the use of the five senses God has placed there for your benefit. The loss of your believing power to control the senses or passions of your body becomes Satan’s advantage.

Paul said, “Within my flesh, there dwelleth no good thing, for to will is present with me, but how to perform that which is good, I find not.” At any time, the appetites of the body are overcharged, and they leave a mark on the soul, because it is a spirit defiling the temple of God.

God, who is a Spirit, made the body for Himself. He placed within it a will of its own, that it might be a being of its own, with a power of decision. He, being the Spirit of life and all things that pertain unto wholesome living, seeks to train your will in all things that pertain unto life. In so doing, He has full control of His body, which is your body, and you have full possession of life, and that more abundantly. What more could anyone ask for?

Remember always that Satan also is a spirit, seeking to trample down the mind of humanity, but not in the way that you would think. He does not desire that human beings should die as you think, except in the sense of ever dying through the tortures of his presence, the way that seems right, but the end thereof is death. Satan would like to keep the human being alive, that he might fulfill his lustful desires, his warped, twisted passions through the human body. By overcharging man’s God given appetite, he can easily do this. The reason that death comes about is because of judgment upon the soul that sins, which means that he who allows God’s temple to be defiled by the evil spirit of Satan is punished by the same judgment which is to make an end of evil. What does Satan steal? He steals your health and robs you of your life. He kills, not because he wants to die, but because he is appointed unto death by God, because of his evil ambitions. God’s Spirit shall expel Satan, and he shall diminish into nothing.
