Life’s Storm

In this world, we, as human beings, are always running into the storms of life on the troubled seas of fears, perplexities, destructions, and interruptions.

If you will take notice to these things, you will see right away the thing Jesus spoke of concerning the man who built his house upon the rock. After every storm, there is damage to be considered, but in every case where the individual has truthfully lived for God and has the true knowledge of God, he always comes out victorious.

He may be tossed fiercely about by the contrary winds of doctrine, fears, and frustrations, yet he is never made shipwreck. Paul spoke of some people who have made faith shipwreck. The reason is they did not build their faith upon the Word of God, the Rock, Christ Jesus.

Paul referred to the Rock in Moses’ day, from which the children of Israel received water to quench their thirst. He said that the Rock that followed them was Christ.

My friend, the storms of life are sure to come, and these tormenting spirits will, at one time or another, attack you. So, you had better prepare and mend your sails, and check your ship to make sure there are no leaks.

A good pilot always checks his plane thoroughly before flying. Check the fuel and be sure that you have plenty. Check your controls and be sure that all things are in proper working order.

The Bible tells us that a wise man looks well to his going. Do this while the sun is shining, for in flight or voyage, you won’t have a chance. Jesus said to count the cost and to watch and pray!
