Who Is That Knocking?

1. When I am weary, and I can’t find my way,

When I am troubled, and my feet go astray,

When I feel lonely, in the darkness of night,

I hear Jesus whisper, “Everything is all right.”

2. When things are besetting, and life is a strain,

Sometimes I wander, near the old mill stream,

There I go to worship, and I call on His name,

My troubles all vanish, and my life becomes a dream.

Chorus:

Who is that knocking at my heart’s door?

Who is that calling? I’ve heard that voice before.

Who is that pleading, that keeps talking with me?

It must be that stranger, from old Galilee.
