Tell Me What Happened

1. I once was young and doing my thing,

As happy as I could be,

But now I am told that I’m growing old,

Tell me, what happened to me?

2. I used to laugh and I used to sing,

And my heart was filled with joy,

I remember well my youthful days,

There with the girls and boys.

3. I’ve heard of a city with streets of gold,

Where the gates are opened wide,

And you can return to your youthful days,

When you step inside.

4. I’ve made up my mind just to shout and shine,

Friend, so let it be,

And take my place in the city of grace,

And live eternally.

5. Life can’t be just a fantasy,

Mem’ries just won’t do,

You’ve got to face reality,

For life’s awaiting on you.

Chorus:

Oh tell me if you know,

Tell me and let it be,

I’m not around and I can’t be found,

Tell me what happened to me,

Oh, tell me if you know,

Tell me and let it be,

I’m not around and I can’t be found,

Tell me what happened to me.
