Sin Of Rock ‘N’ Roll

1. Once there lived a youthful lad,

Who wanted wealth and fame,

And so he forsook God’s way of life,

And turned to worldly gain,

He gave to Satan his entire life,

And promised him his soul,

There God granted his heart’s desire,

In a thing called, rock ‘n’ roll.

2. Because of sin, death has reigned,

As people esteemed the wrong,

In offering praise to a sinful man,

God has rejected them all,

I hate to think of the awful fate,

This world is about to face,

For they’ve displeased the God above,

In making the wicked great.

3. His fame it spread throughout the world,

Until one day he knew,

That death had come to collect it’s debt,

And he had to pay his dues,

His wealth and fame could not appease,

As terror took its toll,

For he found the debt too great to pay,

For his sin called rock ‘n’ roll.

4. Before his death so many times,

He thought on Jesus name,

For he knew the time was drawing near,

To lose his worldly gain,

He sought repentance but found no place,

Though He sought with bitter tears,

Too late - too late - the birthright’s gone,

It was lost down through the years.

Recitation: He robbed the earth of her great virtue,

And added to the cause,

That produced an adulterous generation,

A stumbling block to all,

And though many people esteemed him great,

They contributed to his praise,

But the God above rejected him,

And laid him in a silent grave,

Because of sin, death has reigned,

As people esteemed the wrong,

In offering praise to sinful men,

God has rejected them all,

In their struggle to make the wicked great,

And for commercial strength,

They lift up the reprobates,

And turn them into saints.
