1. Once my heart was filled with sorrow,

And I was out in sin,

I had no one to guide me,

I was left without a friend,

Jesus came and found me, when I was at the end,

He picked up the broken pieces,

And put them together again.

2. Like a lost sheep I had wandered,

I had strayed away,

But the shepherd, He came searching,

He heard me when I prayed,

Now, my heart is rejoicing,

Since He saved me from my sins,

He picked up the broken pieces,

And put them together again.

When He found me out in sin,

Put His loving arms around me,

The dark veil He did rend,

By great love He sought me,

Through grace He took me in,
